Passion, hope, and forbidden desire....

Holly Jennings wasn’t planning on another trip to Scotland. And she certainly wasn’t planning on a trip down memory lane with the hot Highlander who broke her heart. But she’s never been much of a planner - more like a roll-with-the punches country gal. A good thing, too, because “one last request” may not be the only thing a beloved mentor left her in his will. Before Holly knows it, she’s heading on a mysterious mission to a remote island - and straight into danger.

Dragon shifter Lachlan McKenney likes his life logical and organized - not turned upside down by the lithe, impulsive beauty he’s been trying to forget for years. Especially now that he’s busy guarding a ruthless archenemy who’s plotting to escape an island prison.

But Holly awakens every emotion Lachlan has been trained to resist: passion, hope, and forbidden desire. Apparently, there’s no outrunning fate, just as there’s no shirking duty. Against the odds, Lachlan must keep Holly safe on her mission to carry out a venerable old dragon’s last wishes. At the same time, he must resist temptation, because letting his focus slip could cost Holly her life - and unleash a deadly foe.

Danger lurks over Europe, where a ruthless dragon clan plots to seize power in the grandest, most glamorous cities. The guardians of old have summoned a new generation of shifter heroes to protect the castles, cathedrals, and cobblestoned streets of their ancestral homes - and to seek out the last of the Fire Maidens, women coveted by the dark lords for their royal blood. Those women are absolutely off-limits to the young warriors tasked with protecting them. But destiny, of course, has other ideas....

Anna Lowe’s Fire Maidens: Billionaires & Bodyguards series: a series of sizzling paranormal romances with adult content. Each story is packed with action, emotion, and romance! No cliff-hangers. If you like smoldering-hot shape-shifters, military heroes, and royal intrigue, you'll love these books. Join these strong heroines and their alpha heroes in atmospheric locales filled with danger and suspense!

Fire Malians: Scotland

This book was great and the narrator was great. The book holds your interest from beginning to end I wish there was more to this storyline. I just hated to see it end.

Wonderful series!! Fun, sexy, and sweet!

The narration is good. The narrator gives a quality performance; she is a little too exuberant sounding at times for me, but I enjoyed the overall listening experiences.

Such a wonderful story!! Loving this series! In this book, dragon shifters Lachlan and Holly have a second chance at love with each other. Lachlan broke Holly’s heart when he chose his military duties over love because he’d been raised to think only of family duty. Now, 10 years later, they find themselves back together on a bit of a quest. A road trip of sorts around Scotland at the request of a deceased friend; this was all a very touching part of the story. Loved the premise for this one; the Scotland setting was so cool. Unfortunately, there’s dangers along the way. Some awesome action going on! Excellent chemistry between Holly and Lachlan; passionate and sweet. Love Holly’s outlook on life; her stop and smell the roses attitude; such a peaceful feeling when she engages her different senses to enjoy the things around her. Lachlan made bad choices in the past, but I still loved him. He’s a total sweetheart! This whole story was just so heart touching. Super excited for the next book!

Fire Maidens: Scotland

It seems like I waited so long for this release and as soon as it came out I just had to devour it. I am so pleased to say that once again, Anna and Kelsey blew this story out of the park! I absolutely loved everything from the sadness to the suspense then the action! And then we finally have our love and happy ending that makes my heart melt. A perfect listen to this series and now I must wait for Tony’ story, and I have to say I can’t wait!!

Fire maiden Scotland truly one of the best

Anna Lowe out did herself in this gripping story with an HEA. I was pleasantly surprised at the twist and turns this story took. Anna’s world is truly spectacular. It is worth getting in paperback, ebook and audible as I know I will read it more than once. The audible reader gets better and better with each story I hear from her.

Fire Maidens: Scotland

Fire Maidens Scotland is book six in the Billionaires and Bodyguards series and it features Holly and Lachlan. This story is a different situation from the other books in the series in that Holly is a known dragon shifter and is well aware of her capabilities.

Holly is once again in Scotland, one of her favorite places, although not for a fun trip. She is there to spread ashes of her mentor, Trevor. But in order to do that, she has to be accompanied by her once loved, but lost, Lachlan. Neither are happy about it as they embark on a road trip doing Trevor's wishes spelled out in his last will. There are complications ahead!

This book has the right amount of intrigue, excitement, fun, and everything in between! I enjoyed how this second chance romance unfolded for Holly and Lachlan! Despite how things were left for these two, no amount of years has erased the hurt, nor the deep seeded love, they feel for one another. Fated mates for sure. I loved how the mystery unfolds as they complete Trevor's list of tasks! Holly and Lachlan were likeable characters and you could feel how bad Lachlan felt for leaving Holly so many years before. I am glad they were able to find their way back to each other-with a little bit of help from Trevor beyond the grave!! Mungo, Trevor's dog, also makes quite an impression! It also shows you how kind and caring Holly truly is down to her core! I love Kelsey Osborne's narration! She really has you feeling everything the author envisions you to feel with her words! Listen to the audiobook! You won't be disappointed!

This is a solid entry to the series and although I recommend reading all of the books in the series, this can certainly be read as a standalone. The next book takes us to Tony's story in Venice! I am very excited to read his romance!

Entertaining as always.

Entertaining as always. I just hoped for some Scottish accents. Really brings the emotions out about the sadness of Holly’s biological father and what happened to him. BOOK REVIEW Fantastic and lovely addition to this series. I enjoyed travelling around Scotland with Holly, Lachlan and Mungo. Not usually a fan of second chance romances but this one was superb. Lachlan is a typical dour Scotsman at the start but I blame his father and Holly is his opposite. Bright, bubbly and full of life. These two met years ago but Lachlan bowed to duty over love, breaking Holly’s heart. With the help of Trevor and his quest, Lachlan finds what life is meant to be about. Emotional due to the loss of someone dear, surprises and clarity come with each reading of a letter, harsh parental expectations and of course, we have a battle with the baddies. Laughed and cringed when Holly put Mungo into the Austin. Well done surprise when it was revealed who was behind the attacks. This is my honest review of this book.

Can a road trip bring them together?

I have no clue how Anna comes up with her stories, but once again I am amazed by it.

And old dragon has died, peacefully in his sleep, but his remains need to come home. Holly Jennings is bringing his remains home. Once there her presence is requested at the reading of his will and she is asked to honor a final request.

Lachland McKinney lives his life by order and by schedule and doesn't like anything to mess with it. He convinces himself he has no time for love though his dragon is pushing him to claim the go as you please Holly. He is tasked to guard Holly as the final task that Trevor asked for sends her right into their prison for Enzo Lombardi.

The pair had and amazing relationship 10 years ago that ended in one night of bliss then agonizing heartbreak as Lachland heads out to join the French Foreign Legion. Right off the bat, Holly interrupts his schedule first with bringing a dog, then wanting to stop at the roadside and pick some flowers. Will this pair be able to make their drastic differences come together, or will the trip end in heartbreak?

I say following this story will not leave you disappointed. While it is fine to read as a stand alone story, some of the characters from these series make an appearance so I recommend to read the series in full.

I did receive a free copy of this story, but as I said before I am just amazed by how well Anna Lowe has written it. Makes me feel like I was right there following them through their journey.

Captivating read!

Once again Anna Lowe has outdone herself. The story was so intriguing that I could not turn it off. The characters were so real that I could imagine being friends with most of them. I especially loved the unicorn shifter Penelope. How she was described as being emotional is exactly what I would think a unicorn would be. The Setting was amazing! I’ve always dreamed of going to Scotland and this book was so wonderfully written that I could see the scenery in my mind perfectly. I love how Holly was not afraid of anything except getting her heart broke again! I love how I Anna Lowe even added that Holly worked with blind and disabled people. I loved that her best friend was blind and worked for a publisher who created audiobooks. I would love to have a friend like Holly. On the other hand Lockland was described as a true Highlander Scott! The big muscles and the Bronnie accent! Made me fall in love with him! The story was really touching. I’m not going to give away any of the plot for those who have not read it. But I really recommend you getting this book!

Just keeps getting better

I just loved this story. It's about a second chance, love and learning to live and love without regrets. It's not easy to do when you're torn between what has been drilled into you all your life and love, especially when the person you love is the total opposite of what you've been taught.

There were a couple of things I didn't see coming. I like when a story manages that. Have fun reading this one. I did.
