A useful tool for life in general

This audiobook is a wonderful guide for everyone whether in sales, becoming an entrepreneur, or daily life. You don't realize most of the time that negotiations are part of your daily life because we do it so often, but even in a committed relationship you are always negotiating. I love that the author talks about not always having to "win" at the negotiating table but creating a win-win situation for both parties. This is what negotiation is all about, especially if you have an ongoing relationship with the other business party or just in life. A key takeaway for me was the power of silence. It can do wonders to defuse tense situations or help in your negotiating strategy.

If you are starting your own business, there are many things to learn and figure out. You might not think that negotiating is as important as some other skills. However, reading this book made me realize just how many times you will need to be a successful negotiator. If your like me, it will be important to learn to confidently negotiate with everyone.
