Wow! I loved this book!

This audiobook is definitely in the top part of my list. I wouldn't say it is number one per se but the performers did a great job and I loved the characters. Bash is dreamy and so wonderful and such a guy, both the good parts and the really frustrating ones. Olivia is tough and loving and fabulous. I really loved everything about this book. I will say that it took me longer than the recording strictly says because there were several parts that I had to listen to again. I tend to listen to audiobooks while I do other things and this book is almost too intense for that. The emotions are so well written and performed that you really have to pay attention. I loved it from beginning to end and would recommend it to anyone!

Good book

This was a refreshing fighting story/read. So many of these are based on the hero being a manwhore. This book wasn't that, which was nice and realistic. He actually had a job, a family responsibilities. Training a min of 5 hours a day while working leaves little time just to man-whore and then hit the gym a few hours.

I liked the male narrator, but the female one was to young sounding. Made it seem like she was 12 rather than 21.

Overall a good read.

Best book boyfriend you could ever have

Where does Fix You: Bash and Olivia's Story, The McDaniels Brothers Book One rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This story suck you in. It's my new fav. The lead Olivia is so real. It's not one of those book where she all boo who my life is so bad come save me books. She is smart , funny and kind of a bada$$ at the end. Bash is just one of the guys that alway is trying to do the right thing even when the deck is not cut in his favor. He is the kind of book boyfriend you fall in love with and will read over and over again. Now all I have to do is put my head phones in and the storie come alive in a way it never would have with me reading it .
I love the book I am getting the next one

MMA Goodness

I enjoyed this story, yeah it's the standard rich girl meets brooding bad boy with a heart of gold. But it's was a nice distraction. I'll be buying the series for when I want to chill and don't have Netflix.

Fun times!

Would you listen to Fix You: Bash and Olivia's Story, The McDaniels Brothers Book One again? Why?

Yes, it was a great story when I read it, and it was great when I listened to it.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Bash, loved his love and loyalty to the people he loved.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, absolutely.

Any additional comments?

It was a rollercoaster.

I read this series a while ago, and really enjoyed the story of Olivia and Bash. Not only it had some pretty steamy moments, but it was also a really sweet relationship between these two and even between Bash and his brothers. It truly was a rollercoaster.

So, now not only did I get to revisit their story, but also in a format that I haven’t tried before. And what fun it was! To be able to hear Bash and Olivia was such an interesting and fun experience. The choice of voice actors (?) was great and it was their work that improved my experience with this book. It was the perfect experience of story and voices.

Loved this one and can’t wait to hear the stories for the next two brothers.

Good Story!

Not the best ever and the narrations were a Lil bland. However, great story line and Bash is a truly book boyfriend! And, Liv can hold her own next to him. Worth the credit!

Good series start, uneven narration

I "read" Fix You as the box set audio edition, and am very glad that I didn't have to wait between books for the rest of the story! Cliffhangers and I do not get along very well ;)

Overall, I enjoyed Bash and Olivia's story. Book one was especially tense, when Olivia was still dating her future ex (ugh, what a slimeball he turns out to be!) and both she and Bash were trying to resist each other--lots of angsty drama. Pretty much any time her ex was on the page drama was guaranteed--he was an excellent foil for Bash and Olivia's steamy-yet-sweet relationship. We see just enough of Bash's two brothers to make me anxious to read their stories as well, which I'm sure was the plan all along...

I did think that Olivia jumped pretty quickly into her brand new relationship with Bash after just getting out of her previous (disastrous) one, though. She was willing to jump in and help him, even considering selling her car to do so, when he still barely knew him. It felt a bit too soon, all things considered.

I always enjoy when audio versions of dual-POV stories are read by two different narrators, which is what was done in this case. Unfortunately I didn't find the male narrator to be quite up to par with his female counterpart--he was adequate, but not great. (Fortunately there was a teaser sample at the end of the book for Matty's story, and his narrator is both different and much better.) Still, it was an enjoyable listen, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

Fix You

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes I would.

The books was fast paced. It had a good theme that would appeal to NA lovers. The chemistry between the lead couple is believable.

Would you be willing to try another book from Christine Bell and Chloe Cole ? Why or why not?

Yes. I liked Christine's writing style and would like to read more of her books.

I liked Olivia Beckett's character: the heroine who is at a crossroads in life.
Trying to end a relationship in a dignified way. She knew she had to end things with her ex, but it was brewing for a while and wasn't done as a result of her meeting with Bash.

Yes, there was instant attraction between Sebastian "Bash and Olivia, but if Olivia's relationship with her ex was solid, it wouldn't have mattered.

I admired her courage in ending things despite her family's financial situation.

I loved the fact Olivia's mother stood by her and wasn't the typical NA parenting who sacrifices her daughter for the sake of social status.

I liked the fact Bash and Olivia fought as a couple to overcome the obstacles in their way.

He has a plan on how to better his future and works towards that.

He saw a woman needing assistance and wasn't afraid to help her even at the personal price he paid.

Of course, no book has perfect characters: when Bash makes decisions that affect both their lives but leaves Olivia out of the process, she was right to be mad and demand to be a true partner if the relationship between them was to work.

I would have liked the climax involving Olivia's ex to be different (Olivia saving herself would have been my choice), but understand the authors choice in choosing a different approach.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narrators did a good job portraying the various emotions all the characters were feeling.

Was Fix You: Bash and Olivia's Story, The McDaniels Brothers Book One worth the listening time?

Yes.

Any book that features a strong woman and has a good hero who does what is right is worth the time.

great audio version

I had read this book years and absolutely loved it, but listening to the audio version was absolutely incredible. You really get to feel the emotions of the characters. You will absolutely adore Bash and Olivia. They are both strong fierce characters with amazing hearts. They protect those they love with everything they have to give.

Let's not leave out the steaminess either. Christine nailed the heat factor in these books. You will find yourself cranking up the a/c to cool off. I am looking forward to more McDaniel's brothers!
