Covers non fly fishing

Covers non fly fishing lures, techniques and gear while claiming to be about fly fishing. Extremely basic when it does cover fly fishing, and I’m a beginner

Confused: not just fly fishing

I regret buying this. It starts off talking about basics of fly fishing: fair enough. Then, out of nowhere, it starts mixing in cast fishing tips for bass? Describes, for example how to choose a bait casting or spinning reel, how to work various bass lures, etc. It describes how "flyfishers" cast weighted lures with monofilament and reel them in. Then back to fly fishing, but very vague at times, feeling like the author might have just been throwing random thoughts out as tips. It's pretty confusing.
