Publisher's summary

Two shocking discoveries - her dead husband's secret novel and a body in Finny's town square fountain - nearly push Ruth to the edge of her sanity. The final kicker comes when her hairdresser goes on vacation to Fiji, leaving Ruth to look like Dickens' Miss Havisham. A crazy kaleidoscope of characters such as the uptight gallery owner, Napoleon Prinn; half-baked Dimple Dent, writer of fortune-cookie wisdom; Alva Hernandez, octogenarian newspaper boy; and Monk, the amorous town caterer, add to the chaos in the shadow of Finny's nose until Ruth finds herself in the ultimate do or die situation.

Fog OVER Finny' Nose: A Finny's Nose Mystery, Book

Would you listen to Fog over Finny's Nose again? Why?

Yes, it's a fun listen without needing my total attention to follow.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fog over Finny's Nose?

The toe discovery

Which character – as performed by Maddison Thyme – was your favorite?

Ruth, but Flock of seagulls is right up there.lol

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Again, not a deep thinker. Just a satisfying listen made more so by Maddison Thyme's reading.

Any additional comments?

A Christian novel, but not overbearing. I don't usually inbibe a work when described as "Christian". This series isn't pushy.

I was sent three audible books in the Finny series. Finny is a town in Central California, by the way. All three have been worth a listen and more.

A great addition to the series!

This was another fast listen, written by Dana Mentink. Like the previous book in the series, Trouble Up Finny's Nose, there were religious tones to the book. We learn more about the main character Ruth, throughout the story. Strange things seem to happen around Ruth and town of Finny's Nose.

The opening scene got my attention. There seems to be a lot of fog in Finny's Nose apparently it lasts until noon every day. There is always something going on in town. The other residents are just as interesting as Ruth, they are so diverse.

Overall this was a good addition to the series. There is another book in the series, it will be interesting to see how that one plays out. If you enjoy mysteries and old characters then this book is for you.

I don't know

There are too many odd occurrences and characters to make the book realistic. I didn't care for it. This audiobook was provided by the author at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review.

Nope

I was gifted this audiobook with the understanding that I would give an unbiased review. I had a really hard time keeping everyone straight. There is a lot of side characters and none of them kept my interest. There are two more books in this series and I will try them in hopes of getting into this story line.
