Sweet Historical Romance

There are touches of faith and prayer as well as comments of cynicism and doubt in an Almighty God. I wish we could have witnessed his acceptance and faith restored.

Sweet young Eli at the tender age of four lost more people in his life than most of us have in our long lives.

But there is a brighter future ahead, and God is a God of restoration and healing! Especially healing of the heart!

The narration was very good, although there were just a few times the voices didn't change when the people speaking did. I loved her variation of the different characters though!

One of the best in the series

I could have gone for a few
More details about the ending which was a bit abrupt, but overall it was very good and the narrator was excellent!

True to Yourself

The story was engaging and full of emotions that the reader may see themselves feeling at times.

Great story till the last chapter

The story went well until suddenly the last chapter, when it jumped from unsureness in the relationship, to suddenly resolved with a patchwork explanation of how it was resolved, as if the author was suddenly in a rush to end it.
Very disappointing ending.
I’m glad I didn’t pay for this one.

Really Enjoyed until the end...

This will likely be a book I'd listen to again and I don't say that about too many. However, the ending was too quick. It's like you're just getting to the good part and the author had to meet deadline so you get this short version of what happened. This narrator is really good as well. I'll be looking for more books by this author because there was a really good story here without being too syrupy. I just hope any other books don't end as abruptly.

Rushed the end ….

Really would have enjoyed more of the relationship building for Taylor & Reece … jumped right over it to epilogue … to much loss that could have been skipped intead🥲

Great book

This was a warm & beautiful book. It showed the Love of an aunt & uncle for one adorable 4 year old who talked like a 20 year old but was incredibly resilient to what life had sent his way. This is one I will read more than once.

Good story

The story was actually enthralling and kept my interest throughout. Extremely disappointed in the ending. There should have been another chapter; however, the author wrapped it up in an epilogue. Did she run out of time before publisher’s deadlines. I felt cheated after listening all of those hours.
