Publisher's summary

What if courage was your only option?

With her mother now a Blue, her friends kidnapped, and Petra for an enemy, Kallie's pretty sure things have gone as badly as they could go.

Unfortunately, she's wrong - things are about to get a whole lot worse. If she ever wants to see her family reunited, she's going to have to rely on the one person she most wants to see destroyed: Petra.

In a race against time and the enmity of the Rogue Reds, Kallie and Petra must seek out an artifact that can undo the damage of the vampires' faction war. As Petra seeks to turn Kallie to her side, Kallie must weigh whether she's right to place any trust in her birth mother, and if she must, is it worth losing her allies and the ones she loves?

My least favorite

ok so my previous reviews focused on the narrator as i listened to these on audio and how inconsistent it was with the same narrator but in this installment the author chose a completely new narrator that has pitch issue. When the MC was shouting at someone (for example) the narrator took it literally and shouted into the mic. I have never had to turn down my audiobook because I thought someone would call the cops on me thinking aomeone was being killed.
besides the pitch issues, the book was ok but not my favorite. It wrapped up a few loose strings and I'm probably ending my journey here although there's one last book, I think I'm good.

Part 4 of a Larger Vampire story

I jumped into this series with this book, and recommend you start a with book 1 of the Blood Red set. Well narrated with interesting characters, I would have cared more if I had done the previous three books.

Forever Night

I am enjoying the series. It did surprise me to hear a new narrator. It changed the characters in how I imagined them and had a bit of a tuff time following along. It made Calli seem older then she was and Cala sounded like he had an accent. There was some surprises in the story I did not expect. It’s a good thing and don’t want to spoil it. This book and series can be enjoyed by all ages.
