About this listen

Welcome to the Frisky Bean, with coffee to wake you up and pastries to turn you on.

Listen. My daily goddess card tried to warn me that a big change was coming. She did. But I was still not prepared for the impact that he would have on my life. That day when we met, I quite literally fell into him.

It was mortifying. It was exhilarating.

It was totally unprofessional. It was hot.

While our actions and bodies were most definitely aligned, our intentions were not. How so, you ask?

Well, I was blissfully busy pursuing my goals for my new café, The Frisky Bean. I did not ask, nor have the time, to deal with complications. And since I felt as though we were both falling hard, all seemed well-blended.

That right there was mistake number one through five thousand, because he has no understanding of love, and my goddess cards have some explaining to do.

Here’s what I know. Sometimes, even the best recipes flop, while a recipe riddled with mistakes can yield unexpected perfection. What were we?

A freaking delight. Stop asking me and listen to our story.

Don’t forget your oven mitts, because one thing we were very good at is bringing the heat.

CW: discussed childhood, loss of a parent to cancer, and parental neglect.

Absolutely Adorable & Spicy!

This book was so amazing! It is sexy and sensual!

The story was so easy to listen to and flowed so well! This is the total opposite of a slow burn too lol

The female main character is a total klutz and keeps running into or falling into the main male character from the second of their meeting.

He has some emotional baggage from his past that eventually puts them on a time out (I love how they don’t fully break up they just take some time apart while still talking and keeping the relationship alive)

Another story that mentions therapy also. Love it ❤️❤️

This story was brought to life by Emma Wilder and Joe Arden! I absolutely ADORE THEM! Individually and as scene partners!!

Funny and Smexy

This was such an awesome book, The bakery and the names for the items were hilarious. Summer can be a little clumsy and reminds me of myself lol. When she literally falls into Jason arms I thought all hell was gonna break loose because of who he is but….. gotta listen to find it all out. If y’all like romance with comedy and steamy scenes def snag this up. The 2 narrators picked for this were perfect. Joe and Emma are awesome alone but together they nailed this book. Def had awesome chemistry with it. I haven’t read a Michelle Mars book before but you bet your bootie I will be checking out way more. Well done to all involved with this story 💕

Frisky Intentions All Right

Loved this book! It was so cute, funny and Summer was quirky in such a fun way. I absolutely loved the cafe name and the food names. They were all hilarious. Jason was sweet with just enough of a dominant side to him. It's definitely a cute read, and I will read the next book. The Narrators did a great job, Joe Arden of course being the goat of narrators, I'll read anything that man narrates, but Emma Wilder did an amazing job too. She did such a great job with the males voices. I could hardly tell it was her voicing them in her chapters. I know that's hard for some to pull it off, but she did a great job! I laughed out loud so many times. It was what I needed after an angst filled book.

Summer and Winter

This is Summer and Jason's story.
Jason Winter has a routine, OCD. He has his own business and adheres to a strict schedule. He doesn't have time for relationships in his life. Until Summer fell into him when he visited her bakery.Summer is accident prone to falling..And she fell fast into Jason Winter. literally physically and emotionally.
Their romance was fast fun, steamy, but will.it last.
Jason is a surface person, he doesn't reveal emotions,.history of himself. Summer needs the emotional connection along with their physical spark.
This story is fun, sexy hot with laugh out loud moments.
Joe Arden and Emma Wilder narration brings this story to life. They make this audio a pleasure to listen to.

Perfectly cute, funny, steamy book!

The storyline was super easy to jump into, especially after the Frisky Connections novella, and the characters were instantly loveable. Both of the audiobook narrators, Joe Arden and Emma Wilder, knocked it out of the park with this one, and I found myself laughing out loud several times. I plan on reading more of The Frisky Bean series in the future!

Sweet, Spicy & Entertaining! Great Story & Listen!

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story drew me right in, grabbing my attention and holding it the entire time. It is a sweet and spicy story with a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst, and a steamy romance. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were easy to care about too. Summer is the co-owner of The Frisky Bean, a unique bakery and coffee shop, and I loved the whole concept behind it and the naming of the products. The shop is doing well, but Summer and her partner work hard to keep the people coming into their business and area looking at ways to expand. Jason Winters is an agent for the stars and a potential client raved about the shop and its goods, so he went there to get some treats for her. And then there was Summer, and he felt an instant attraction to her and the feeling was mutual. I adored Summer, quirkiness and all. Jason was straight-laced in comparison, but they worked and it was great to watch their relationship blossom. Except Jason’s insecurities and need to compartmentalize his life may cost him the best thing in his life. There was never a dull moment in this wonderfully plotted story, and I loved how it all played out. Michelle Mars, thank you for this entertaining story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  And for the fantastic narration, Emma Wilder and Joe Arden were the perfect cast to bring these characters and the story to life. They had a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice fitting to that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Wilder aced it as Summer, and I loved how she owned the role, grasping her quirkiness and all the other sides of her personality. Arden did the same as Jason, nailing his demeanor and personality perfectly. Both were fabulous playing the secondary characters and handling the humor and witty dialogue easily. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters' emotions and had you feeling them all. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

My Favorite New Author!

Every now and again a new person touches my life that enriches me and opens my eyes to exciting and wonderful roads! Thank you Michelle Mars for your brilliant mind and phenomenal words! This is a tale that is not to be missed--yes, it is a romance, with so much love and laughter it brightened my mood and day every time I listened. This story roped me in from the beginning. No, there were no heart attack inducing story lines. The paths Michelle leads us down were subtle, funny, and thrilling. I could not put it down. Michelle's eye view of the word around us could help us all. The narrators...WOW! Joe was at his best, intonations and sexy voice not to be missed. Emma's innocent quality made the heroine come to life!
Many, many thanks for this advanced reader copy, this review is voluntary and given with great joy! I welcome this new author with open arms! Kudos to all involved in bringing this to me!

4.5 Stars

Overall I loved the banter and light heartedness of this story. It was an enjoyable read. Just a few things I personally didn’t care for was some of the dominance and control issues the male character portrayed. Also if your looking for some hot scenes, this is definitely the book you want:)
The Narrators were fabulous though!
