Publisher's summary

Benny Alexander is anxious to get home to Summer County, South Carolina, to be with his baby daughter, Whitney Ivy, but being at home reminds him of the woman he lost many years ago - Whitney’s mother, Stacy Greene. Is it time for him to give up hope that she will ever return to him and their daughter?

Unlike Benny, Cecile Jordon is reluctant to journey to Summer County with her best friend, Janice Atterly. Still, she promised Benny and Janice she would come for a July Fourth celebration. Her only deterrent is trying to stay away from the enticing kisses of Benny’s cousin, Donald Dixon. Giving him a home-court advantage in Summer County could be detrimental to her heartstrings.

For Derrick Jackson, this trip to Summer County, Vivian Alexander’s home, is one that he is bound and determined not to miss. He has a plan to talk with Vivian’s parents, which could mean a bright future for him and Vivian...if the stars align. Still, his best friend Chuck Montgomery could destroy Derrick’s plans with Vivian. Only time will tell.

Melissa Charles is also in line for a life-altering experience. Will she and Alan Lightfoot survive the challenges ahead?

The Alexanders’ offspring and their families and friends are coming of age in challenging periods of their lives. The choices they make at this juncture can dictate whether they succeed or fail.

An Awesome Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it fun. Everyone heads home for the 4th of July weekend, little did they know that one week would change so many lives. For some their dreams came true for others, their hearts were broken. These books are uplifting listening at times, heart breaking at other times and sometimes you just find yourself laughing out loud and you have to back it up because you missed something. The interesting and intriguing characters will keep you listening for the next unexpected twist. I'm really looking forward to Book 7.

Great Read

FRUIT FROM THIS TREE Episode Six was a great read by Alexandra Ward. Benny Alexander is headed home to Summer County, South Carolina with his daughter. But being home reminds him about the woman he loves and lost many years before, Stacy Greene. Cecile Jordan is reluctant to go to Summer County with her best friend, Janice Atterly. But she knows that she made a promise to go for the July Fourth celebration and must keep her promise. Benny's cousin, Donald Dixon, has tempted her and she knows she needs to stay away from him. Derrick Jackson is bound and determined to take his trip to Summer County. He wants to talk to her parents about his future with Vivian. I really loved reading this series and cant wait to read more by the author. I love the life that Kelley Hazen brought to the characters and loved her narrations.
