Having just finished Finding the Hero in your Husband I thought I wouldn’t get as much out of this one but I was so wrong!!! This is rich with wisdom and practical guidance!

I was not prepared for how revelatory this book would be! I feel like I’m finally starting to understand the true design and nature of sexuality, and how it connects to God‘s love. It is already giving us so much more freedom in our marriage, and I can’t believe we have gone so long without this understanding. Definitely going to be one that I listen to again.

I absolutely loved this audiobook version. As this topic has been something often discussed in our marriage, this book gave a great philosophical outline while still giving details on how to approach sex in your marriage.

Dr. Slattery’s view of God’s view of sexuality as a metaphor for His covenant love for His church that all husbands should demonstrate to their wives and vice versa is a great picture to work towards. It would be great to hear more material about how revealing our faults ad sinstoeach other would increase intimacy in marriage when we fear our partner will reject us.
