Going on Retreat with Retreat Master Archbishop Fulton J Sheen

I have been on several retreats in my life and God has blessed me immeasurably when I have made time to seek God out of my busy schedule.

If you are serious about seeking Good and knowing more about Him, His love for you and also acquire self knowledge along the way, this audible experience doesn’t disappoint.

What I like most is Archbishop Sheen’s insightful knowledge of scripture and human nature. His audience is mostly post Vatican II Seminarians and Priests. However, the lay or religious Catholic of today will resonate with the timeless wisdom of this intelligent, passionate and inspiring man of the 20th Century.

If you listen as a retreatant, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by who’s waiting for you. I gained great comfort, encouragement, and peace from this series. The Holy Spirit works that way. I pray the Spirit works with you, too!

Intense and thought provoking

Listened to this over several weeks. Intense catechism that is as valuable to the laity as it is to the clergy. Some hiccups as these are original recordings, but overall worth the time.

Tremendous

This is a treasure and the payoff is huge. It is an amazing insight into the faith and how to walk with our Lord. It is just a masterpiece and can (and should) be revisited often.

Great lectures, perfect sound

Listening to Bishop Sheen is always rewarding. The Spirit speaks through him as He did in the past through the apostles and the apostolic fathers. The great advantage of this specific audiobook is the sound quality. His voice is clear and strong, there is no echo or background noise, no muddled sounds typical of old tapes. The audio has been obviously enhanced and it makes the listening experience even more alive, pleasurable and gratifying.

One of the best from Fulton Sheen

This was recorded at the University of Dallas in 1971. This is a retreat for the seminarians but the knowledge applies to everyone.

Beautiful and incredibly inspiring

A must-listen for all Priests and Seminarians, but also all the Faithful. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Well done, Fulton Sheen!
