in the end i am glad i listened to it

This book kept me listening. I liked the interweaving of Tosca throughout -I am an opera fan so enjoyed all that. I liked the narrative staying with the one character so I got to know her. i really liked the reverance paid to the Madonna and happy there was no Catholic bashing or yet another corrupt priest. i very much enjoyed the end.
what i didnt like so much was many of the decisions Josephine made. i was close to rolling my eyes several times. i wasnt overly fond of her, either. i felt the book was very stretched at the seams. repetitive with the same issues coming up. i also hate it when the bad guys are all really bad which mist if these were. mostly what i missed was diwn time. no humor and very little relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
still, i am glad i listened. i may listen to the next book to see how it ties in with the prequel
