Is Your Productivity Lacking? Are You Looking for the Magic Productivity Elixir to Solve Your Dilemma? You Will Not Find Any Magic Productivity Pills Here. We Have Something Better for You.

There are a plethora of productivity books promising results or your money back. Gospel Centered Productivity is not a formula for becoming a productive giant. This book explores our guts, our motivations, our souls, and how God fits into our productivity. Let's admit, we don't need more tips, tricks, and tools to be more productive, that honestly make us feel guilty and less productive.

We need a whole new way of looking at our productivity. Looking at productivity through an entire new set of lenses...the lenses of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not what you expected, huh?

What will we discover?

  • How productivity is one of the main ways to honor God?
  • How productivity can lead to burn out, stress, and breakdown if not seen in the proper light?
  • How to be productive and not lose our souls?
  • How to live a more joyful and balanced life while doing some of our greatest work?
  • How to love our jobs even if they stink right now?

Good message, but not a book on productivity from an efficiency standpoint

Good message on being productive in life in general. I.e . Having a job. Was hoping for some lessons on increasing productivity from a biblical view. A lot of general advice on focusing on working for the Lord over ourselves. Chapters ended with a prayer reminder on the chapter substance, always asking for forgiveness for sins referenced in chapter. Not sure if pastor who wrote this has ever worked in a professional setting, but “shutting off work for 24 hours” is not very practical. Said the sabbath should be honored, while I agree, even Jesus and his team worked on the sabbath, being blamed for picking grains on the Sabbath. I have to believe that Jesus worked 24/7/365 for 33 years to accomplish an earth changing, world defining purpose for all of us. Tailoring the message for managers, non-managers, etc would be beneficial and potentially life changing for all.

While I appreciate the suggestion, “when deadlines loom, take a day off,” I won’t be taking the day off. Just as I wouldn’t when serving the Lord and he had a project deadline for me.
