About this listen

What if miracles, healings, and deliverances were normal occurrences in your home?

Imagine Jesus walked through your front door and sat down on your couch. What would you expect to happen? Who would you invite?

What if this happened every week?

This is what it’s like to have a gospel house. As you and other Christians gather in your home, Jesus reveals himself through a conversation where you and your friends are free to express spiritual gifts, explore the Scriptures, share insights, and more. Together, you share communion, worship God, and pray for one another. You might even share a meal. Miracles become normal, lives are transformed, and disciples are made.

This is church in its simplest form—an encounter with Jesus, expressed through his gathered people—and you can host such a meeting in your own home. You don’t need permission to make disciples; you were already commissioned to go.

Discover the joy and simplicity of learning from Jesus in your living room. With a few friends, a Bible, the Holy Spirit, and place to meet, your house can be a gospel house.

Great wealth of detailed information for church plants

Art Thomas shares practical and detailed information on how to establish new church plants. He shares a life time of experiences and tips on what did and did not work for his ministry. This book is a great tool to keep on hand. It can be used as a reference guide and also for encouragement. I highly recommend it to anyone who is being moved by God to work for His kingdom in a non traditional church setting.

Excellent resource!

This book is both empowering and encouraging. While it’s geared toward the practical aspects of growing leaders and ministers of house churches, there is helpful information for the institutionalized church. One of my favorite aspects of this book is it isn’t us vs. them, house church vs. Sunday morning church. It ties them together under one -the body of Christ. Additionally, it is written in a way that shows the heart of God for people- real people who are valuable and worthy of our personal investment. ‘It’s messy but it’s Jesus’s mess’ is one of many quotes that blew fresh breath and renewed vision into my husband and I!!
