About this listen

Dear Counselor,

It was supposed to be simple favor for my very important boss - go to his good friend Tex Jameson's luxury ranch and provide personal medical care for his recently injured teenage son. I thought it'd be a working vacation of sorts, but everything is upside down, and absolutely nothing is as I thought it would be.

For one, this patient is not a teenage boy.

He's a real-life, blue-eyed, tough-as-nails, 30-something cowboy who is so darn strong he looks like he could lift a car just for the heck of it. He's also stubborn, rude, and we don't get along...at all.

Add in the heart-melting vision of him as a single father to the cutest little girl on the planet, and I've found myself in a whole different dimension of trouble. Lust. Feelings. A whole lot of enemies-to-lovers-style complication.

Please help me. My name is Dr. Leah Levee, I am a victim of false advertising, and if I'm not careful, this grumpy cowboy might just be the death of me.

Contains mature themes.

Cute Story - but the male narrator :-(

The story is really cute but predictable. It's funny and some light listening. The female narrator is fabulous but the male???? At first, I was excited to hear a younger man read the part of a younger male character but then he tries to use a southern accent and it's terrible. Come on, can't you find a young man with a REAL southern accent read the part of a younger man that is supposed to have a southern accent or just forget about using southern accents altogether. It wouldn't have taken from the story at all but with the terrible, sometimes dorky accent for a supposedly rugged, handsome, masculine well built MAN? They're in Utah, when did the Utes start having southern accents.

Doesn’t relate to the first two books of the series

Overall, I really like this story. But it is the third in a series and has nothing to do with the first two books. The first two books are related & end with a trip to a ranch in Utah. So I assumed that was how it would related, but no mention of the 4 main characters from the first two books.

I’ve listened to the male narrator in different books & he was fine. I didn’t love him for this character.

Stud muffin alert

I thought it would be just ordinary and got a big surprise. Thought it was going to be the usual cowboy and the city girl, But it kept taking it in different directions.

Enjoyed it

I really enjoyed this third instalment in the Single Dad series. My only surprised was that it was not a true continuation of the series as the first two kind of followed behind one another so after book 2 had the couples headed to a ranch for vacation I assumed it would start out like that but it didn’t even include Holly, Jake and the gang from the first 2 books. Overall it was good though.

So good I want a second book!!

I almost passed this one up because the title didn’t grab me but I’m so glad the summary caught my attention. Absolutely loved this story! Rhett is just the right amount of grumpy, stubborn, and sarcastic to make you roll your eyes but laugh too. I think Leah is relatable! Independent, strong, but a lot of ‘what if’s’ are going on in her head. I love how her maternal instinct kicks in immediately with Rhett’s daughter…who is a firecracker! Also, Rhett’s parents are perfectly woven into the storyline.
Very good storyline, characters have depth, and the ‘chase’ was extended! Which I appreciate because sometimes the couple comes together too quick and the excitement of the book fizzles. Not here though…the characters keep you entertained all the way through.

(The male narrators voice is perfect for Rhett! He certainly made it an easy listen)

Lovely story.

Love some cowboy romantic stories, glad I found this one, the male narrator voice so deep and manly ,it is perfect for an alpha male cowboy,I definitely recommend this audiobook.

Good book, terrible male narrator

The idea behind the book wasn't bad. Cute story and I liked the slow burn. But COME ON WITH THE MALE NARRATOR. HE WAS SO BAD. His country twang was cringe worthy. But he only had it for external dialogue. Internal dialogue sounded like a different person. It. Was. Just. So. Bad. Ruined the book for me.
