About this listen
I am a guardian. Born to protect, trained to fight, sworn to protect my charge.
Once Alex discovers his charge in a high school theater class, he will do everything he can to keep her safe, whether it’s from teenage bullies or demonic forces fighting to destroy her. Will Cierra’s faith and Alex’s strength be enough to overpower terrifying events and evil powers or will it be too much for Cierra to survive?
Guardian is a fast-paced paranormal urban fantasy book with closed-door romance, magic, power, demonic evil forces, and coming-of-age young adult themes. While it is a complete standalone story, it is also the first book in the Guardian trilogy. The next book is scheduled to release in December 2024 with the audiobook to follow.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s electric!
I haven't listened to a book in years. About 15 years or so ago, the narrator for the story I listened to did not modulate so it was not as textured to listen to. My mom had problems with her eyes, so when they got too tired to do her work on the computer she would listen to a story. Mr. Brown was fantastic in giving texture and depth to his reading. His voice was warm and pleasant to listen to. A friend convinced me to give an audiobook another try. I'm glad I did or I would have missed out on this gem.
I also read the book along with Mr. Brown, so I am including a review for the story as well. It will be posted on Amazon, Goodreads and BookBub:
I love the whole concept of Guardian. There have been times in my life that feel as if I had a Guardian myself. Nothing like the adventure that Cierra and Alex have, but enough for me to believe they exist. When they met the electric connection they brought goosebumps to my flesh. My heart breaks for Cierra over the guilt of her mother's death. I can’t wait for the next installment!

Twilight with a Christian twist . SO GOOD
This story is about a guardian angel, of sorts, in human form. I love the writing style and it reminds me of Twilight a bit, but with a bit of a Christian twist.
A great read, full of action! Relatively short too and great for car rides! Overall, I love Alex and Cierra and can't wait for the second book to come out!!

A Spellbinding Story and a Awesome Narrarator
This book was so good! I could not put it down! I read while listening to the audio version. The narrator was excellent, and his voice pulled me more into the story. His voice is so soothing to the soul and sucks you in. He portrayed Alex, the amazing Guardian, who took on more than he should to protect the human woman he was Fated to love. This love endured so much! I fell in love with Cierra, too. A kind and gentle human with a weak spiritual soul who had to battle much. All this to bear the most powerful Guardian of all. The characters were well-portrayed and developed. The plot thickens, and actions and emotions are real! Oh, how I cannot wait to hear the rest of Ryker's story. Sarah Lynn, you did an outstanding job with this story. I so look forward to reading the next one! I highly recommend this book!

Compelling plot, loveable characters.
I haven't read many paranormal romance novels, but after reading the blurb for Guardian, I had a strong feeling about it. I’m so glad I trusted my instincts because I loved every moment of the story. And who doesn’t love a guardian angel?
The characters are well-developed and multi-dimensional, and the plot pulls you in with its numerous twists and turns. I found myself on the edge of my seat as Alex and Cierra battled against the ‘FOEs’ intent on their destruction. The romance between the couple is deeply palpable and emotionally resonant.
I received the audiobook version as a gift, and the narrator did an incredible job bringing Alex to life with a soothing and captivating tone. This is one of the best debut novels I’ve ever come across. The next installment of the trilogy promises to be even more intriguing and fun, and I can’t wait!
