About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez’s young adult debut is filled with sharp, witty dialogue and colorful characters. Pasquala Rumalda Quintana de Archuleta (“Paski,” please!) is happy with her quiet life in Taos, New Mexico. But when her comic book artist father Rudolfo gets a huge break in the film industry, the two of them quickly transplant to glamorous Los Angeles. There, Paski runs afoul of upper crust Jessica Nguyen and her beautiful friends. How will Paski get by in a place filled with nothing but haters?

Interesting girl fitting in story

I likes that is multi cultural and a story of an experience of this teenager in LA. I could feel from the book the pressures the kids have to be act and talk and look a certain way which is pretty close to the way things are having went to school here. I liked that our heroine has to learn how to navigate being thrown in such a different society. This book made my days more exciting anticipating what would happen next.
