Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

Intense Action and Great Character Development
This fourth volume of *Haumeah* delivers non-stop action as Ryder balances his growing relationship with Cynthia and the pressure of negotiating with pirates. I loved the dynamic between Ryder and Debbie during the asteroid field mission—trust and danger build real tension. The pacing is fast, and the mix of political intrigue and personal stakes makes this a captivating read for sci-fi lovers.

A Thrilling Space Adventure with Personal Touches
Ryder’s journey is more challenging than ever in *Haumeah, Volume 4*. The story does a great job blending personal relationships and galactic politics. Meeting Cynthia's father added depth to Ryder’s character, and his risky alliance with Debbie to face the pirates brought a lot of suspense. The asteroid field scenes were vivid and heart-pounding! Definitely a book that builds upon the previous volumes while adding fresh dilemmas.

Exciting Continuation of Ryder’s Journey
Haumeah, Volume 4 (Demeter) takes readers deeper into Ryder’s complex world. The plot twists keep you on the edge, especially when Ryder has to navigate both personal and galactic challenges. The tension between his relationship with Cynthia and the high-stakes mission with Debbie keeps the pace intense. The asteroid field sequence is particularly gripping. If you're a fan of sci-fi with emotional depth and strategic battles, this book is a must-read!

Action, Strategy, and Emotional Depth
Ryder’s decisions in *Haumeah, Volume 4* are more difficult than ever. His relationship with Cynthia adds emotional layers, but the real thrill comes from his dangerous mission with Debbie. The asteroid field was nerve-wracking, and the political stakes kept me hooked. The negotiations with pirates were clever, and the story keeps you thinking about the tough choices Ryder must make. A fantastic read for anyone invested in the *Haumeah* series.

A must listen
I really liked about this book was how it balances the high-stakes tension of negotiating with pirates and navigating dangerous asteroid fields, while also delving into Ryder’s personal life. His relationship with Cynthia adds an emotional layer, especially when he has to meet her father, which humanizes him in the midst of all the cosmic drama. It's a must-read for fans of sci-fi adventure and character-driven plots!
