About this listen

The game of death has only just begun....

Professor Able Worthe’s experiment in terror continues. But as Marcus Holt battles against these supernatural killers, a new terror rises up from the village’s haunted grounds - terror that even the Professor can’t control.

Book four - Soul Harvest: Trapped in Worthe’s haunted village, Marcus and his team discover a frightened young mother eager to reunite with her child. But they soon become the target of a wrathful spirit that longs to carve out the heart of any mother he can find.

Book five - Poisonous Whispers: When a new building appears in the village’s snow-swept streets, Marcus and his team are haunted by the cries of panicked children. But they soon find themselves stalked by the ghost of a bitter old woman, whose touch brings a painful death to her victims.

Book six - Brutal Lessons: As Marcus and the others navigate a rotting old schoolhouse, they are hunted by the vengeful spirit of its former headmaster. This blood-thirsty ghost is forever bound to an old wooden cane...a weapon he uses to beat people to death.

Now known as Subject B, Marcus Holt struggles to survive one terrifying encounter after another. He swore he would do whatever it took to escape. But against enemies such as these, death may be the only way out....

Love Ron Ripley

I cannot get enough of the ghost and haunted books from Ron Ripley. Just about to start books 7-9 of the Tormented Souls series. Please keep these coming.

Pretty good but the writing gets sloppy

Having characters make decisions out of character and poorly thought out decisions with ongoing ramifications to further the plot is pretty frustrating. Still love the feel of the books overall but some of these decisions made me real tired.

AWESOME STORY.

I can't put it down. 2 wishes I have. I wish they would of brought Shane Ryan on board and I really wish they would make a movie or mini series out of it.

The best one yet!

Tables are turning in the village. Professor Worthe continues to lose control of the village resulting in an unlikely escape, and a hidden power being revealed. Immediately downloading the next book. I believe we know which house is set for acquisition next! (this is part of a series you won't be able to put down, be sure to start at book one).

Ghost Stories with Character Development

I have enjoyed these books more than I thought I would. The premise is kind of out there, but really interesting. There are times when I thought the series could be wrapped up sooner, but this series has become more of an exploration of characters inside of the premise. I look forward to hearing more of Marcus' colorful backstory, for example. There's also a lot of exploration of trauma amongst the characters. The author does a really good job of making multi dimensional characters. For a few minutes, you even feel bad for Abel. In many books in the other series, the villainous ghosts had traumatic backstories. I'm almost mad that I kind of like Timmy because he is a terrible person who should be despised, but somehow I root for him. The narrator is great too. I am on a binge of this author and this is the 21st book I've listened to him on. He does a great job, although I must admit the voice of Wesley grated ony nerves.

How much is to much?

I love that nothing is off limits in these stories. I can’t wait to finish them! This has been one of my favorites in all of the series!

Great Creepy Experiments

I absolutely love this series especially the characters and ghosts especial as has 3 books in one. My favorite ones of course were Marcus, Alex, Timmy as well as Joyce, and Elaine. Hate Abel Worthe, Kimberley and David with the experiments they do in the village. Soul Harvest the Indians were on a warpath. Poisonous Whispers: Abel acquires new building which is a house of horrors with children, much action/twists and poor Jeannette. Brutal Lessons Victor and Tom have been contacted by Joyce to help her friends. On to next 3
