Wonderful Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!

A.D. Ellis pens another wonderful novel in her “Forged in the City” series and I loved every everything about it. This book is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. I adored the two leads, Tyler “Ty” Golden and Victor “Vic” Black, each had their own issues and baggage, neither one is looking for a relationship. Ty is an independent, hard-working young man, he is set on finishing school to get his cosmetology license with hopes to work with big celebrities and/or Disney in his future. He is working several jobs including working as escort for companionship only, the company he works for has strict rules and vets all clients, plus the pay is very good. Vic, a man in his forties, was burned by his last relationship, it left him with major trust issues. He likes to crochet and occasionally works at Ty’s Uncle Rhys’s art studio. Ty works there as well and live in the apartment above the studio. Vic is taken by Ty but thinks he is too young for him, when he goes to get his hair done with him he loves how his hands feel on him. They travel in the same circle so get to hang out more and the two really hit it off. I loved the chemistry between the two, I thought they were perfect for each other and great together. This book is beautifully plotted, it contains the right amount of drama, low angst, a thrilling and suspenseful moment, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful, slow burn romance. A.D. Ellis thank you for another beautiful story, I love the characters, their camaraderie and the small town charm.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Bob Brill does an awesome job bringing these characters to life, he gives each their own unique voice and personality. His portrayal of the characters is spot on, sounding just as I picture them to sound. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and talented voice artist. Thank you for another fabulous listen 🎧

A sweet opposites attract, age gap romance!

This is the second book in this series and just as brilliant as book 1. The author's writing style appealed to me and I fell in love with Ty and Vic.
I loved the build up to their relationship and it was delightful slowburn.
Bob Brill's audio delivery was perfect for this and brought the characters to life.
If you like a sweet age gap, opposites attract romance, I absolutely recommend this.

No one is too young or old for love,

because love doesn't come from mind, which knows your age, but from your heart, which knows no age. ~Unknown~
This was a very sweet age gap romance with lots of sass and a tiny bit of angst. I really enjoyed Ty's personality, he was sweet yet sassy and had a good maturity to him with an awesome work ethic. Vic was a little tougher of a character for me to connect with. His insecurities about age was a tad frustrating, especially when he was putting himself down. I didn't really enjoy that. Overall though the narration was fantastic and the story was really good. I liked the situation towards the end with Ty and the way it was handled. This series has been really enjoyable so far and I'm excited for the next book.

each book gets better

Within 10 minutes into listening to this, I had a big smile on my face, and I was rooting for a future together for Ty and Vic. Their openness and honesty was touching and had me melting. I loved the resolution and the big rescue later. Looking forward to the next book. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Ty and Vic-- I love them

A. D. Ellis creates characters that you can't help but fall in love with them. Ty and Vic are two men that have tramatic pasts and no longer hope to find love. In spite of this they are strong and have successful careers. Ty is younger but determined to complete his schooling. Vic is older but very successful. I love how their attraction to each other begins a slow burn romance that I was cheering on with all of my heart. Their respect for each other is so evident. So much of Ty's inner dialog is hilarious yet realistic. I found myself laughing out loud. Ty's interaction with the cats is hilarious. A dangerous event towards the end causes them to express their true feelings to each other. The author creates such a wonderful supporting cast of secondary characters. These same people are in book 1 of this series. I love when I read a standalone that allows me to revisit wonderful people.

Bob Brill creates distinctive voices that suit the characters and brings them to life. He makes the listener feel the emotions of these characters so you can create a movie in your mind. I found it relaxing to listen to him.I highly recommend this Audible book that contains so much love.

Love Love LOVE this story!!

Hearts Afire, written by A.D. Ellis and Narrated by Bob Brill, is an amazing story of coming together, healing, and love. This age-gap romance is a sweet story of two men who had been hurt by prior relationships/crushes. They both were dead set against relationships and had decided they were better off without them. In time, they learned to trust each other, grew together and fell in love. The ending made my heart happy for the two.

A.D. Ellis is an amazing storyteller and author. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a great read.

Bob Brill, once again, worked his magic bringing the story to life. His narrating skills are wonderful! A must listen.
