About this listen

A rising star in the fantasy genre, Michael J. Sullivan has built an ardent following for his Riyria Revelations saga, which draws to its epic conclusion in Heir of Novron.

On the holiday of Wintertide, the New Empire plans to burn the Witch of Melengar and force the Empress into a marriage of their own design. But they didn’t account for Royce and Hadrian finally locating the Heir of Novron—or the pair’s desire to wreak havoc on the New Empire’s carefully crafted scheme.

Heir of Novron contains Wintertide and Percepliquis, books 5 and 6 of Riyria Revelations.

Spectacular fantasy series

This has been a wonderful fantasy series. But like all good things it must come to an end. This was one of those series that drew you in and became more captivating the more you read. Micheal J. Sullivan did a great job. I will defiantly keep an eye out for more books by this author.

A Great Captivating Series

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heir of Novron?

This book and in fact the entire series is filled with good and great moments. The ending was one of the most enjoyable, memorable, and satisfying endings I have read.

What does Tim Gerard Reynolds bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He did an excellent job of using voices that made it easy to quickly identify which character was speaking.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Smiled a smile of satisfaction in the end.

Any additional comments?

I really loved all three books. The writer did a GREAT job at keeping the story interesting at every turn. He also did a great job wrapping up the story in the end.
This was my first experience with this author, but not my last.
Great writing + great voice = hours of satisfying listening.

When I saw this was released just the other day, I had to burn one of my credits. The series is great. Humor, action and a well developed story.

Which character ??? as performed by Tim Gerard Reynolds ??? was your favorite?

Royce is my favorite. The duality of man (Elf) and how the character transforms by degrees.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh and I enjoyed every minute of the series.

Very happy with the ending!

I've been in love with this series since the first book, and I am so happy that the ending didn't disappoint. Of course, most listeners will have figured out a lot of what will happen, but there are enough surprises to keep you from getting bored!

Sullivan's writing is pretty straightforward, and he doesn't waste a lot of time on pretty prose or description, but the story gallops along with verve and enthusiasm. The whole series is just plain fun. We get conspiracies, betrayals, love, sword fights, adventure on the high seas, elves, goblins, assassins, thieves, war, royalists vs imperialists vs nationalists, friendship, impending doom and redemption. Who could want more than that?

A fantastic epic saga - beautifully written

What made the experience of listening to Heir of Novron the most enjoyable?

I really like the story but also loved the character development. I ended up really caring about the people in this book and what happened to them. I don't often write reviews of books, but like this series so much I just had to say something. It is well worth a listen! The narrator was excellent as well.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heir of Novron?

This was such a well told story that it would be hard to pick one special moment. But did love the final duel and the revelation of the heir. And I loved the development and growth of Arista and Thrace characters throughout this saga.

Which character – as performed by Tim Gerard Reynolds – was your favorite?

I loved the interactions of Hadrian and Royce.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Move over Game of Thrones..we have another great contender!

Any additional comments?

Can't wait for more books from this author!

Freaking fantastic

This series is some of the most enthralling fantasy I've come across in recent years. The tale of Hadrian and Royce is well written, exciting, charming and appropriately epic.

The author has suceeded in making a world that you want to visit, and stay in. This series really deserves more publicity than it has gotten, and I thoroughly recommend the books to anyone.
