Publisher's summary

Book Three of the Sinclair Brothers Trilogy.

He is forced to marry...

Daniel Sinclair is charged by Robert the Bruce to secure the King's ancestral holding in the Lowlands - and marry the daughter of the castle's keeper to secure a shaky alliance. But the lass's spirit matches her fiery hair, and Daniel quickly realizes that the King's "reward" is more than he bargained for.

She won't submit without a fight...

To protect her secret - and illegal - love of falconry, Rona Kennedy must keep her new husband at arm's length, no matter how much his commanding presence and sinfully handsome face make her knees tremble. But when an all-out war with Raef Warren, the Sinclair clan's greatest enemy, finally erupts, will their growing love be destroyed forever?

Great Highland Romance

Emma Prince is an excellent Highland romance novelist. This 3rd book in the series is the best so far due to its authentic historical events. I believe that makes a book so much more interesting. Though I’m not a history buff exactly I do enjoy learning. I would be hard pressed to pick the best of the 3 in this series! The narrator, Mr. Tim Campbell, is new to me but he is my new favorite narrator. I can’t wait for number 4 in this series, assuming there is one!

I wish just once, the FMC would learn a lesson.

I liked this author’s other books in this series (minus Burke, need to listen to that one), and I will listen to Tim Campbell all day. Love his narration.

With that said, the FMC insists on taking a friend to go see her birds and gets two men killed, is best up and tossed in a dungeon and then gets all huffy when she is rescued and told she needs to stay where it is safe?

Yes, there should have been more guards with them because they knew there were English nearby. But she sees the two men get murdered, she gets a couple punches to the gut and smacked around, starved for days and suddenly it’s “Don’t tell me what the smart decision is,” hmph towards her husband, who has spent years preparing for and fighting in battles. Like bish, please. Stay in your lane.

Does she stay put? No. She immediately breaks her promise to her husband and gallops off. Granted, she went north, but still.

I like characters with a backbone but so often they are written to defy logic and be all high and mighty. It’s rare that they have consequences to their actions, too.

Smart Lass

This whole trilogy was excellent. Easy listening and easy to follow. A bit of graphic violence . TIZ the nature of the times.

A fitting end to a wonderful series

Wow, this final book in the Sinclair Brothers trilogy may be my favorite. I have loved the first 2 books and the short story as well but, this one with the confrontation with the main enemy of the series and the chemistry between Daniel and Rona is just too Juicy. The battles, the love, the whole family being involved... I can't say enough. Tim Campbell knocks it out of the park wuth his narrative and Emma Prince is just perfect. This is worth a credit , and worth staying up late to finish as I just did!! I will be reading this again and again

a great book

I enjoyed the plot and the characters were remembered from the previous 2 books, so the story ran smoothly and I remembered who they were.

the narrator did a great job. He has a great tone of voice and the transition of characters was believable.
