June 1944. Despite her determination to be in Paris to welcome her father home when he escapes from a prison camp, interpreter Christine Arnette must obey when the French Resistance sends her on a secret D-Day mission to Normandy. When her cover story falls apart, the Allies start asking questions. Can she trust them with the truth?

When Lieutenant Harry Dean discovers their beautiful French interpreter lied about her reasons for coming to Carentan, it’s up to him to discover her identity. His gut tells him to trust her, but orders are orders. Is she really a spy? Will his heart allow him to stand by and watch if she’s arrested?

Extraordinary!

Christine Arnette is determined to meet her father when he escapes from a prison camp, but first she's sent on a secret mission to Normandy by the French Resistance. She is an extraordinary interpreter and her cover story holds up until she runs into Lieutenant Harry Dean. He knows that she lied about her mission and he's going to have to ascertain the truth. What happens when the Lieutenant falls in love with the beautiful interpreter in the middle of World War II? This is a delightful story as are all written by Pamela Ferguson.
Rebecca Fine's narration is impeccably done with her dynamic voice and the inclusion of beautifully spoken foreign language.

Where is the rest

I did enjoy the story. Clean historical war time romance. The story left you hanging at the end. The feeling of more was left once the story ended.

Rebecca did a fine job with the various accents and languages spoken.

His French War Bride

A short sweet story set during WWII. Will the American soldier be able to follow his heart, or has he fallen for a spy?

Rebecca Fine did a nice job with the narration. Great accents.

Excellent narration brings story to life

This highly recommended historical romantic novel (Normandy: June 1944) is brought to life with excellent narration by Rebecca Fine ( featuring multiple languages and multiple voices). This is the second book in the “Lilac Historical Romance” trilogy and am looking forward to listening to the other novels in the trilogy: “His Scottish War Bride” and “A Lilac Christmas”.

Fantastic WWII Romance

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! It's very well written and has a level of excitement to it that made it a really quick read. It's a clean book free of language and sex scenes. There is some violence which is to be expected due to the time period but it is not overdone or too graphic.. The narration is top notch, I loved all the accents and the acting was wonderfully done. My only complaint is that I felt the story ended a bit abruptly and could have continued farther... maybe I am just hoping there is going to be a book two.
