About this listen

The story of Nazi Germany is one of conflict between two saviors and two crosses.

Deine Reich komme,” Hitler prayed publicly—“Thy Kingdom come.” But to whose kingdom was he referring?

When Germany truly needed a savior, Adolf Hitler falsely assumed the role. He directed his countrymen to a cross, but he bent and hammered the true cross into a horrific substitute: a swastika.

Where was the church through all of this? With a few exceptions, the German church looked away while Hitler inflicted his “final solution” upon the Jews. Hitler’s Cross is a chilling historical account of what happens when evil meets a silent, shrinking church, and an intriguing and convicting exposé of modern America’s own hidden crosses.

Erwin W. Lutzer extracts a number of lessons from this dark chapter in world history, such as:

  • The dangers of confusing church and state
  • The role of God in human tragedy
  • The parameters of Satan's freedom

Hitler's Cross is the story of a nation whose church forgot its call and discovered its failure way too late. It is a cautionary tale for every church and Christian to remember who the true king is.

Enlightening

I absolutely enjoyed this book as it was able to contrast and compare the Cross that we should all be bearing for Christ. I was a bit surprised on the educational information that I learned about Luther & his reformation, although I disagree with Lutzer when it comes to Luther fully putting up the cross for Christ due to the nature of Luther’s beliefs on Jews, which had influenced Hitler, I can agree the reformation had to happen according to Gods plan & purposes.

I will note that the end will not be happening the way most Christians have been taught with the rapture & Son of God & can be compared to an Arianism theology idea because Jesus known three in One IS the Father, Son & Holy Spirit which can’t be separated. When you search scriptures it says that we will see the Son of Man coming in on a cloud of great power and glory, it also refers to Jesus not knowing the day or the hour only the father knows when that Day comes for all to receive the final reward of eternal living forever & ever. Jesus being the Son of God, but also the Father & Holy Spirit can’t be separated so therefore what scripture refers to is an appointed & chosen persons by God to bring in the New Kingdom of Heaven & Earth. We can also look at the Book of Acts and Paul writes that there will be a prophet like Moses that will be raised up amongst your people, listen to everything he says or you will be cut off from your people. This prophet Paul is talking isn’t Jesus 1. This was written years after Jesus was here on Earth who did die for our sins 2. Jesus isn’t like Moses because Jesus was perfect, He never killed a man, He never sinned & He is God & Moses was none of those. So therefore Jesus Christ has 2 people One on his right side the other on his left that he gave the key to opening up the rights to the New Kingdom of Heaven & Earth so all could live eternally.

The misinterpretations of scripture, the views on Heaven & what the end of Ages will look like has been taking from the theology & ideas from the Medieval & 17th century beliefs, but also views from other religions about the afterlife have leaked in on the development about what happens after death. But all will find out this Truth when the unveiling of Christ & His Bride are revealed & it WIlL be Amazing!!!!!

Outstanding take on the church in Germany

Great take, although the book is filled with false pre-dispensational doctrine and the biblical quotes used in the book are falsely and incorrectly interpreted. If you can look past the blatant support of Zionism throughout the book you will see Christ.
