Every month seems to bring a trendy new diet or weight-loss fad – but they aren't making us happier or healthier as obesity rates continue to rise alongside a number of diseases and health problems. It’s time for a different approach.

How Not to Diet is a treasure trove of buried data and cutting-edge dietary research that Dr Michael Greger has translated into accessible, actionable advice with exciting tools and tricks that will help you to eliminate unwanted body fat – for good.

From there, Dr Greger breaks down a variety of approaches to weight loss, honing in on the optimal criteria that enable success, including: a diet high in fibre and water, a diet low in fat, salt, and sugar, and diet full of anti-inflammatory foods.

How Not to Diet goes beyond food to identify twenty-one weight loss accelerators available to us in our body’s systems, incorporating the latest discoveries in cutting-edge areas like chronobiology to reveal the factors that maximize our natural fat-burning capabilities. This is the ultimate weight-loss guide, taking a timeless, proactive approach that can stand up to any new trend.

Learn what to eat for health and weight control

Dr. Michael Greger has a staff who read all the published scientific studies on how to lose excess fat and how to stay slim. He reads his book himself and he makes, what could be dull, interesting and useful.
This is the real deal. He isn’t pushing some miracle cure or selling any supplements, instead he tells us exactly how human beings should eat for health and longevity and in doing this never need to go on another diet. He is the man!

GET the book!

Get educated and take control of your health. I enjoyed the narration as the author kept me engaged and gave some lightness to what can be an overwhelming subject. Also, a slower talking pace meant I could absorb the information which is extensive. I feel empowered and motivated to venture forth to loose the weight. If performance is going to stop you listening, then get a physical copy or have someone read it to you! Audio comes with a great PDF which I happily read on my tablet. You can save yourself so don’t let reviews on narration stop you. THANK YOU Michael and your team.

Great book. Poor recording.

Michael seems drunk and slurs his way through the book. Had to stop listening and go back to the paper book.

How not to diet

My first thought when listening to the start of this book was that Michael was either drunk or on something. I kept listening because the information was very good.

After a while his style becomes more normal, and the scope and importance of the information are much more important than his style of reading. He has researched more than any others in this field.

I know Dean Ornish and T Colin Campbell have done their own research, but Michael Greger has read so many studies and peer reviewed research that I think he has the best overall view of the topic.

He has provided a hugely comprehensive document, that for me very much outweigh his speaking style..I also have the hard copy book which is 690 pages. I find it much easier to listen to this audiobook than it is to read the book.

I gave this audiobook 5 stars on each category because I feel his information will change my life, the way I eat, and hopefully add a bit more health to my years.

Annoying Narration

Unfortunately I couldn't stand to listen to the narration. His voice and way of talking was too annoying.
