Publisher's summary

If there was one thing you could do to change how you think, feel, and act, would you do it?

Discover the proven way to change your mind and relieve stress, pain, and more.

Research has shown the remarkable ability of mindfulness meditation to actually change the physical qualities of your brain through the quality of neuroplasticity.

Studies show that the meditation shown in this audiobook can increase gray-matter density in the area of the brain associated with emotional regulation and a decrease in gray-matter density in the part of your brain responsible for stress and fear.

In this audiobook, we'll cover:

  • How meditation can help decrease stress
  • Different ways to meditate. It's not all sitting in a pose
  • How to physically change and grow your brain
  • How meditation can help you with your depression and anxiety
  • How meditation can increase your physical health and cognitive capacity
  • How meditation can slow down your brain's aging and lengthen your life
  • What neuroplasticity is and how mindfulness harnesses its power
  • How to get to sleep with meditation
  • How to view your thoughts objectively and non-judgmentally
  • How to use mindfulness to calm yourself when losing your temper
  • How to use mindfulness to manage depression and anxiety
  • How to use mindfulness techniques to manage pain
  • How mindfulness can help with addiction and cravings
  • How to get started with meditation and find what works for you

If you're brand new to meditation or feel intimidated, don't worry. This audiobook is perfect for beginners, and it may even be able to teach seasoned meditators a few new tricks.

I really enjoyed this book !!!

I really enjoyed this book, eye opening to an experience I have wanted to know more about. It gives the history, positives and negatives of the experience, and doesn't sugar coat it. Is it for everyone, probably not. But as someone who enjoys medical research, has had depression on. and off for years, and is open to solutions to expand and clean my mind, this book is a great resource.

Very helpful for someone who suffers from anxiety. I got Postpartum anxiety and this book helped me to realize what the thoughts meant. Whenever I feel anxious I read portions of this book to help.

Really enjoying

Really enjoying this book so far. Very different approach to therapy. Not results oriented, but rather process focused. It is less about taking control of your feelings, but learning to better experience your feelings and living/moving towards your values.
