Story
Our increasingly complicated lifestyle demands clear and constructive thinking: making decisions, making choices, taking initiatives, and being creative. Watching television for 20 to 30 hours a week, as many children do, results in a passive mind that can only copy what others are doing (including drugs, sex, and violence). Give your children a better chance in life. Thinking is a skill...even a superior brain is wasted without it. You can start to teach your children to think - now.

In How We Learn, Stanislas Dehaene decodes the brain's biological mechanisms, delving into the neuronal, synaptic, and molecular processes taking place. He explains why youth is such a sensitive period, but assures us that our abilities continue into adulthood and that we can enhance our learning and memory at any age.

Since 2002, The War of Art has inspired people around the world to defeat "resistance"; to recognize and knock down dream-blocking barriers and to silence the naysayers within us. Resistance kicks everyone's butt, and the desire to defeat it is equally as universal. The War of Art identifies the enemy that every one of us must face, outlines a battle plan to conquer this internal foe, then pinpoints just how to achieve the greatest success.

Story
A smart and funny book by a prominent Harvard psychologist, which uses groundbreaking research and (often hilarious) anecdotes to show us why we’re so lousy at predicting what will make us happy–and what we can do about it. Most of us spend our lives steering ourselves toward the best of all possible futures, only to find that tomorrow rarely turns out as we had expected. Why? As Harvard psychologist Daniel Gilbert explains, when people try to imagine what the future will hold, they make some basic and consistent mistakes.

Story
In Joel's Schwartzberg's 10-plus years as a strategic communications trainer, the biggest obstacle he's come across - one that connects directly to nervousness, stammering, rambling, and epic fail - is that most speakers and writers don't have a point. They typically have just a title, a theme, a topic, an idea, an assertion, a catchphrase, or even something much less. This book shows you how to identify your point, leverage it, stick to it, and sell it and how to train others to identify and successfully make their own points.

I call this process "The 4 C’s Formula". The 4 C’s Formula is a universal process that can be used by anyone who wants to achieve greater success in any part of their life.

Simple and clear advices, easy to listen to
Where does How to Have a Beautiful Mind rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The book focuses mostly on social interactions and how we can gain knowledge, share this knowledge and develop our thinking skills just as we can develop our physical skills.
The book seems a bit incomplete for it's title. I expected some exercises for analytic thinking, for creativity, even meditation and so on, because the title led me to believe that it covers more topics related to thinking.
Overall it's a good book and I recommend it.

too theoretical
the book is like points and it lacks explanation, it gives you a point and them one example, it doesn't go deeper in to the subject, i would use the book to tech at a university but not to teach my self.
