I've listened and perused quite a few weight loss books and this one was the best. It's simple, honest, and made things finally "click". The hunger scale has been so helpful. I enjoyed it so much that I'm listening to it again! Thank you to the author for being so honest.

The information in this book is great. I've heard a lot of it before, but the way she presents it is amazing. She talks about a PDF, but there isn't one attached to the book, so I'm hoping that is coming soon. I'd really like a list of the food she lists out. Since we don't have the book, we just listen to the list - but I'd like to have it as a PDF. I'm wondering if this is just an overlook!

I’m a big fan of Katrina ubell - her work is amazing and life changing. May all the work and effort she put into this book and sharing her strategies, insight, reflections, and wisdom and all that goodness come back to her. I’m waiting for her to train coaches that are for everyone not just MD.
She has the potential to teach you tools and change your mind & life.

If you struggle with losing the same weight over and over, this method really works. She teaches you how to get your body fat adapted instead of insulin adapted and it makes so much sense. So thankful I read this book. It’s been one month and down 12 pounds so far. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Meanwhile, while I am a PhD and not an MD, I’ve been actively trying/failing forward with most weight loss resources that have been on the market the past 15-25 years. I’m 49 now and will be 50 in several months. I’m healthy but I am “morbidly overweight”. My family history - including a retired nurse - is of several chronic diseases. My goals for years was not just to “lose weight”, but to do so in a way that works so I could be both an inspiration to and support for my family & chosen family of friends. I’ve read & done so much I recently made a career change to become a health coach.

Dr. Ubell’s book - especially compared to ALL/most of the billion dollar weight loos industry books out there - connects and synthesizes the proven mindset & steps that work. I know because I am finally losing weight consistently & know her practice is sound.

That she is doing this focused on women physicians is AMAZING: women’s health is so critically undervalued & under resourced. Having our women physicians finally have what they need from Dr. Ubell will help all of us. Healthy practitioners do so much to help our communities. Thanks Dr. Ubell!

I find Katrina Ubel sincere and full of solid advice. I appreciate her wanting to help people figure out how to help themselves without shame or guilt. She encourages people to be loving to themselves as they work through their food and weight issues.
