About this listen
You trust me.
You shouldn’t.
That picture you just posted on Instagram? I’ve seen it.
The location you tagged? I’ve been there.
You haven’t been careful enough, have you?
Because I know all about you.
But when I meet you, I won’t tell you that.
I’ll pretend. Just like you do.
You’ll like me, though. You’ll trust me enough to let me into your life.
And then I’ll destroy it.

Annabel Kantaria is the next Liane Moriarty
I absolutely loved this book and couldn't wait to come back to it every time I was forced to hit pause. The drama and the relationships reminded me so much of a Liane Moriarty novel. I had about 4 different theories throughout the book, and it was fun being taken on the ride. I can't wait for the next book. I will definitely be watching out.

Point of view accent confusing
The narrator was great, unfortunately an American who is thinking to herself in a British accent and using British terminology just doesn’t fly. I was perpetually distracted by an American who spoke in an American accent to others but when she was thinking to herself —in first person— it was in a British accent with British terminology. I almost bailed on the book for that reason, but decided to finish it because I paid for it. This book would probably work better as an e-book or paper book that an audiobook for that reason. The storyline is pretty predictable, two, and then of the characters are particularly likable. The main character— an American— seem stereo typically shallow and overly friendly. In a way that is not accurate. All the characters probably should’ve been British, and it would’ve played better.

Good pace- kept me listening
Great narrator. Loved the suspense of hearing the villain but not able to guess who she/he was. Climax was a bit bland and quick. Lots of build up didn’t match the shock of the action it was building to

Great twist, a bit hard to believe
this genre bring frail female characters filled with uncertainty, and that part is a bit cliche. The antagonist on the other hand is a bit unbelievable.

Very weird narration
It was difficult sometimes to understand who the protagonist was. She spoke with a sort of American accent part of the time, and thought in a British one. She used British words for things such as fringe Americans would call bangs. I can’t say I have ever listened to a book narrated like this one.

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me rooted and guessing until the very end. I would love to hear more books from this author.

Fast moving story
I can’t remember how I found this story but it was in my wish list. I thought the narrator was fab - I have my favourites and she is up there, so I hope the author will consider her again - the sample was enough to make me listen. I gravitate to British narrators but liked how she had the main character with an American twang. It was obvious she was being set up, but I didn’t see a lot of it coming.
Great book. Now going to reassess my social media - there are so many crazies out there.

Good story
It started a little slow but once you finally got into it was a good line.
maybe the narrator should had been someone who was able to flip accents. Tyler being American should've had an American accent even in her thoughts.
I do recommend this book.
