I will be purchasing this for my nieces. This book is stuffed valuable information. The girls are teenagers and could get the most benefit for this.

I’ve always admired Dana Perino so looked forward to this book. There are some great thoughts from a lot of familiar people and people that I also think very highly of.

The advice is down to earth but sometimes things you wouldn’t just think of - really good for younger people or people still trying to figure out a career path. Many different nuggets to pass on to others who are like Dana when she started out & wish someone had told them.

Great & inspiring words

Love Dana Perino, and was excited for this new release.

Narrated version is stiff, choppy. Not at all easy to listen to. Maybe the experience would have been different with reading the physical book…

Disappointed

Interesting mix of interviews and enthusiasm from the author. I enjoyed the narration of this book immensely.

Dana has certainly found a clever way to offer some great advice. The mix of "mentors" she gives us stretches from her college days to colleagues to celebrities to a president of the United States! Not a bad bunch of counselors. The advice is great and the presentation is clever, Her narration and additional comments provide the cement that hold a wonderful book together!

Great advice, cleverly given

How to work part time with prestige intact and protection during economic downturns.
I know a nurse who works two 12 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday and is paid for a full-time work week.
I know a business major who does monitoring of clinical trials for a major drug company from home. Female dermatologists make staggering money working three days per week.
I was able to have free time during the week starting at about age 32 to take my niece skiing. When she started in school, I was able to demand weekends off. And still working part time.
The author talks about the job that always requires you to go the extra mile. Typically, a couple of weeks of vacation per year,. As you get older, you will have other priorities. You do not want to be susceptible to economic downturns. Too many people overlook a strong linkage to healthcare for a career. Too many people have teachers who teach math and science in a way that is ridiculous. Almost all of math
can be distilled down to solving for “X” until you get to calculus. chemistry is an easy course if you draw a picture and then it will be very clear which item is missing and you can solve for “X”. You can use a mnemonic device to help you remember the “foreign language” of biology courses.
Or you can be struggling with all the other ridiculous number of white collar people who want to be on TV or who want to be the manager.
