Publisher's summary

Judith Gladstone came to San Francisco after her parents died to find her last living relative, an aunt she has never met. Instead she has fallen head over heels in love with Caleb Coulter, her friend's brother. Caleb has promised to help Judith find her aunt, but she can tell he thinks of her only as a friend, and she struggles to hide her feelings. When Caleb traces Judith's aunt to the wealthy Whitley family, Judith is reunited with her long-lost relatives. The truths she learns about her past and her parents are shocking and overwhelming, however, and the more she gets to know her new family, the more danger she uncovers. Someone does not want Judith in the picture, and they will do whatever it takes to get rid of her.

Blood is not always thicker than water

I loved the characters in this audio book. Now on to third in a series
I learned a lot about life in early 1900’s in San Francisco. What a class divide between have and have nots. The lack of sex and profanity only go to show how it is not needed to make a book excellent

great book

2nd book in series. it is well written and a great narrator. even though it is a chic flick type of story, my husband liked it, too.

Part of history

I enjoyed the feeling that I was taking part in the historical events of 1906.

In Dreams Forgotten

This was a very complete book right to the end. I know there is one last one to complete sure.

Started out slow at the beginning, but then moved right along as it went o the end.
Much history with this and to the end of the year 1906.
It kept me right with it for the last five hours, watching the Red Sox game with the sound off and listening to this riveting book.
The Narration was a bit different with Angela Lin as the story progressed, she seemed to tackle it to a much better pace.

Tracie Peterson has used some different ones as I have been following in her other series.

I love Tracie Peterson’s books but this narrator kills it for me! Very disappointed!
