About this listen
A new, sexy standalone from #1 New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland.
He's her boss. She's his greatest temptation.
The first time I met Dawson Reed, we wound up in bed.
The problem was, neither of us knew the other were there.
When I woke up in the middle of the night and found a stranger next to me, instinct kicked in and I attacked the intruder.
Only it turned out, the man wasn’t an intruder at all.
Dawson had rented this cabin, too. Apparently, a system glitch allowed a duplicate booking.
We’d soon find out we were in town for the same wedding, and Dawson was the groomsman I’d been warned about. He was as tall, dark and jaw-droppingly gorgeous as my best friend had described. Though she was also right when she’d said you two will hate each other.
When daylight rolled around, Dawson and I attempted to straighten out the mess we found ourselves in. But it proved to be more difficult than we initially thought. Since it was a holiday weekend, there wasn’t a single room available for more than fifty miles.
I suppose things could be worse than sharing a cabin for a weekend with a handsome man you despise.
Like maybe him winding up being your new boss?

Story
It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She's immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she’s dreamed of coming for years—she hoped to shuck oysters and take sunset sails with her husband, only now she’s here without him, at rock bottom, and determined to have one last decadent splurge on herself.

Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Beautifully written
Dawson is a commitment phobe and he accidentally walked into the Airbnb that he and Naomi rented without each other’s knowledge while she was asleep. Despite being attracted to each other, they didn’t hook up after their friends’ wedding as Naomi was drunk. They ended up working together and fell in love through deep conversations and little moments. They both had major losses and trauma in their lives that shaped who they are. Both needed each other in their own way. While there was some funny moments, there was also a lot of tender and sad moments too. The plot was well written and the romance was sensual and sweet. The characters were realistically flawed. There were parts that had me tearing up.

high standards
Wow, I listen to this book on audio. I can tell you my emotions were all over the place. The scenes with the kids made me laugh they were just hysterical. But the other scenes talk about crying. I have not cried like this in a book for a very long time, so to say that this book brings out some strong emotion is very real. I love the book The narrators are some of my favorite narrators of all time. I'm not going to tell you much else, just that the book has said a very high limit for all the other books of 2025 since I just finished this on the first day of the year. Read synopsis if you want to know what it's about. Just know that Vi Keeland is going to take you on Incredible Journey I will tell you after taking this journey I have high standards for 2025 when it comes to contemporary.

5 STARS! Addictive, enthralling & unforgettable!
Indiscretion by Vi Keeland is a sizzling and emotionally charged office romance that captivated me with its irresistible blend of passion, emotion, and twisting, character-driven plot. Dawson, the cocky, confident yet charming attorney, and Naomi, the determined and enigmatic former attorney, share an explosive chemistry that ignites every page. Their opposites-attract dynamic and their forced proximity situation work in tandem to create a deliciously steamy build-up, beautifully balanced with heat and sweet, heartfelt moments.
I listened to the audiobook, narrated in duet by the incomparable pairing of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, two of my top favorites. Their individual performances are always on point, but when they are paired together, they never fail to deliver magic. Vi Keeland's masterful storytelling kept me enthralled as she wove a tale rich with unexpected turns, emotional depth and punches of humor into a story that was as addictive as it was unforgettable. Five smooches from me for Indiscretion by Vi Keeland!
