Publisher's summary

Riding on the high of success after last semester, it looks like Nick’s path through Valcav Academy to become the world’s greatest superhero is clear.

But the life of a superhero-in-training is always changing. When it’s announced that the academy is doing an exchange program with Lord Inferno’s own school, everything at Valcav gets turned upside down, especially when Nick’s world-conquering father joins the Valcav staff. Still, it’s nothing Nick can’t handle.

There’s just one problem: A trio of supervillains that have shown up in Lord Inferno’s wake with just one goal: To destroy Valcav Academy and all it stands for.

just as good as the other books.

story picks up right where it left off. pacing and everything just as good as the other two books. of course this series is not perfect, author leave plot holes all over the place, just like in the first two books but its a nice casual listen and the powers are dope and the overall story is enjoyable even tho its kind of like some lonely otakus fantasy lol i still enjoy it though, every now and then i wanna listen to a story i dont really have to think about. its like playing a couple round of cod instead of doing a long playthrough of witcher 3. both are enjoyable, ones better but sometimes you just wanna sit back and mindlessly shoot things. thats the best way i can put this series. anyways good 3rd book

Huge let down!

First off, i am a fan of the first two books. I want to try and make this constructive while venting my disappointment. (SPOILERS)

This book contains 15% of an actual story and it all happens in the last hour. Why it is called Inferno Island when it is the setting of the story for last 30 minutes of the book is beyond me. The first eight hours are completely pointless the author clearly didnt know what he wanted to write about this time and created a whole lot of filler then decieded to wrap it up in one chapter, Three Villains are introduced throughout the story as if its an elaborate plot twist but NOPE they are easily taken care of in 5 minutes at the end and are just tools for SWITCH, The main battle at the end has nothing to do with the story and SWITCH is so Mary Sue i cringed listening to it. Also its just a rip off of the first books "plot twist" with one bad guy student trying to go through a super villain exam by themselves,

Other issues (SPOILER) Andy and Eila leave to spend a semester at school on Inferno Island for no actual reason, It makes zero sense, we get one chapter from Eila's POV which her objective is to talk to the one other person from her planet and all it is is a 2 minute conversation where he tells her he doesnt want to go home and thats it...end of that arc. The story never even talks from Andy's POV and its just a waste.

I seriously hate that i cant even imagine trusting the author enough to buy the next part in this series.

List of all the pointless elements:

Andy and Eila leaving
The meditation....increasing his power time by a fraction.
The invisible training course for the main group
Terrible LGTB introduction "lets just check a box"
The hours spent on 3 villains getting captured - They didnt need to be captured because of Switch's Over Powered abilities
The story of the triple triad and the connection to the student reporter.
The Inferno students having one interaction in the whole story just for Nick to give a speech.
The Introduction of the Infero student that didnt worship Nick....
Nick getting Kristin - childish and weak attempt to be kinky.
Blowing up a dorm building when most of the students are in class
The author admitting 95% of the attacking force in the only battle dont even warrant names or time and just calls them trash mobs.

Not much really happened

I like it. I read these kinda like a guilty pleasure but I hope the story moved along a bit more. Not much really happened. It seemed like it was mostly a setup for future books without much growth.
