Publisher's summary

What lies beyond Blackmoor Cove and its connected Tower?

When two displaced Heroes from the recently fallen Town of Emberstone seek refuge from the advancing corruption, some people begin to believe that Jack’s brazen defiance of traditional ways has terrible consequences.

New Buildings, new Townsfolk, and new Heroes bring new opportunities for everyone, and as Jack continues pushing them forward, the virtual entities around him begin to explore the limits of Subroutine Sana.

This “Crunchy” GameLIT/LitRPG story contains: Item-Based character growth, empire building, unique monsters, bizarre boss fights, and the abuse of game mechanics.

fun gamelit story!

Great story and narration!

Jack and the gang are back and blazing through the floors! New villagers and heroes are showing up and new abilities are getting unlocked! Things are starting to heat up as the fight against the darkness continues.

Soundbooth Theater does a fantastic job with the narration!

I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Length

I really like this book but like the others I think it’s too short and I wish there was more in each book

Prax does it again

as usual the author has created a story with perfect symmetry and connective tissue. there are no unearned plot devices nothing has been done for the sake of storytelling. when something happens to the characters it's because of an action the characters have taken that have affected the world and that feels great. nothing randomly happens by accident. enjoy all of Prax Venter's work is a pleasure to listen to

getting better and better

I'll keep this short and to the point. The narration is spectacular, as expected from Justin and SBT.
Although book 1 was a little slow for my tastes, I'm glad I kept listening because each book has been better than the one before, more world building, and the plot is solidly growing, I'm a fan 👍

The winds of change blow ever stronger!

New things are afoot, tinkering with the way the world works and more importantly how the denizens think.

Jack is at it again. Changing minds, and more importantly changing hearts. The story only grows stronger as our Hero's start to truly learn and question their world. How will Jack "Cheese" the system this time, and will The Corruptions catch wind of what's going on?

Justin Thomas James again with the insightful narration. Solid inflection and feelings really draw you into the story. I stared this one in the morning and only stopped when my headphones started to die and complain. SBT draws you deeper again with subtle music, sound effects, and the help of Jeff Hays and Andrea Parsneau rounding out the different characters giving you the feel of being there first hand instead of just having a book read to you.

A+ Looking forward to Book 4!

WOW!

What is there to say but this book was amazing it is definitely the best book in the series so far and I can't wait until the next book. The progression in the book is superb and I thoroughly enjoyed the part where I was on the edge of my seat and thinking something was going to happen and I was ready to curse the world then it was fine it had my nerves fraying at the edges don't get me wrong I loved it I'm glad the book wasn't predictable. as a side note the narration cast absolutely did a simply phenomenal job as the books progress the narration cast gets better and better all the way around this book is a must-read.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

Prax Venter is doing an excellent job growing these characters. I really love the way they deal with the 4th wall. I'm looking forward to the full series.
Soundbooth Theater does an excellent job as usual. Special shout out to Andrea Parsneau who has a lovely singing voice.

another great step in the story

This story still has me very invested. I finished this one in less than a day. The story and the characters continue to grow in interesting ways.

I love the variety and imagination when it comes to the tower, and I love the slice of life feel as they all work on building their town.

on to book 4!
