Publisher's summary

If you’re feeling lonely, doubtful, and hurt - you aren’t alone. But what if you realized you can experience true trust?

Many women joke about having trust issues - laughing at their struggle because it feels common but secretly feeling there is no hope. Grace Valentine was one of them. In her 20s, she realized her trust issues were not humorous because, in reality, hers were trust issues with Jesus, her community, her family, and herself. And they were destroying her faith. Grace told herself she was simply being realistic, but the truth was, she was entangled with doubt and lies.

In Grace’s second book, Is It Just Me?, she offers listeners a new perspective by helping them find answers to five deeply felt questions:

  • Am I the only one who is tired, overwhelmed, doubting, and fearful?
  • Am I the only one who feels hurt and lonely?
  • Am I the only one who still is struggling to find my purpose?
  • Am I the only one struggling to trust that God is there?
  • Am I the only one confused about how to be an adult?

Grace’s personal story and perceptive insights show other young women that they are not alone and they can trust God in the middle of their hurts, doubts, and fears.

Exceeds Expectations

**Rating: E - Exceeds Expectations**

In reading *Is It Just Me?*, I found Grace Valentine’s exploration of trust amidst our fears and doubts to be both relatable and inspiring. Her writing style feels like a warm conversation, inviting me to reflect on my own experiences with vulnerability. I appreciated how she articulates her struggles, making it easy to connect with her journey.

The storytelling captivated me from the start. Valentine’s blend of personal anecdotes and broader reflections on grace creates a rich narrative that resonates deeply. I found myself laughing and nodding along, recognizing my own fears and triumphs in her words. However, I wished for a bit more depth in certain sections, as some themes felt like they could be explored further.

Overall, I rated the performance for its engaging style and emotional resonance. The story also has a compelling narrative that encourages self-acceptance and growth. *Is It Just Me?* provides valuable insights and relatable experiences, making it a worthwhile read for anyone navigating their own challenges. I recommend it for those seeking a straightforward take on trust and resilience.

Couldn’t stop listening

I felt like Grace was talking directly to me. It is humbling and makes you think twice. I would def read another book by this author. I’m at least 10 years older but could definitely see my younger self in her experiences. Well done!
