Publisher's summary

In ISOBEL'S WEDDING from no. 1 bestselling author Sheila O'Flanagan, Isobel faces every bride-to-be's worst nightmare. Not to be missed by fans of Freya North and Veronica Henry.

Four hundred and twenty pearls hand-sewn onto the wedding dress. The Mediterranean honeymoon booked for months. A pile of presents bigger than Everest. And her lovely Tim, the most perfect bridegroom a girl could wish for.

Except, two weeks before the wedding, he changes his mind... Isobel's wedding is off.

Her world in tatters, Isobel turns to Spain, a new job, a new life and as many men as she can decently manage. Including the very appealing Nico with whom, she feels, there could be a long-term future. But part of Isobel knows that she will have to go back home some day. And that, despite all that's happened since she left, she still has unfinished business...

Could not finish

I started getting frustrated with the story around chapter 22 but stopped about 10 hours in. I just started yelling nooooo Isobel way to often.

Good but....

It was a good story but the ending left one wanting more. To come that far with the character and leave her hanging was quite a let down

Isobel's Wedding

Isobel's Wedding. For a start got caught this is an old book maybe 15 or more years old. It is not a new book from the author. Realised I had already read it after a few paragraphs. Narrator is excellent. Story initially is interesting then you go through many chapters where Isobel goes on how much she loves her ex fiancee. She moves to Spain has some one night stands and goes back and forth with deciding what she wants until you have had enough. Then the story ends up with an ending that is not satisfying. You listen for 16 hours and then after all the carry on you have to assume the outcome. I like an epilogue so you actually know exactly what is supposed to happen. Not saying anymore so not to spoil it for anyone who reads it. It is so annoying the way after a new chapter starts some authors are writing for instance about painters or something nothing to do with story.
You need to be careful as some books are being rereleased with a different cover Jill Mansell a good example.
