IT’S TIME FOR THE CHURCH TO STAND UP AND FIGHT BACK AGAINST SEXUAL IDENTITY IDEOLOGUES AND THEIR UNHOLY ANNEXATION OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT.

We are living in crazy times. Biological men are competing and winning against biological women in sports. The newest Supreme Court justice declined to answer the simple question: “What is a woman?” Record numbers of young Americans now identify as transgender. Sexually explicit materials permeate schools. Pedophiles have rebranded as “minor-attracted persons.”

And now sexual identity and gender ideology advocates have hijacked the civil rights movement, co-opting its success for their own insidious purposes. They have sold the lie that sexual identities are equivalent to race and that the fight for the rights of “sexual minorities” is the final frontier in the struggle for civil rights.

To make matters even worse, many evangelical leaders, eager to appease the culture, have gone along to get along—even excusing and redefining sinful behavior as a mere “sexual identity.”

In It’s Not Like Being Black, pastor and bestselling author Voddie T. Baucham Jr. equips Christians to fight back against this pervasive sexual identity ideology and stand firm in biblical truths, giving them the courage to:

• Remain vigilant and protect their children from the onslaught of this insidious ideology

• Contend for biblical truth in the marketplace of ideas

• Boldly celebrate, cherish, and defend true marriage

• Willingly suffer as strangers and aliens for holding fast to what the Bible actually says

Now is the time for the Church to act. Christians cannot contradict Scripture, discard thousands of years of tradition, subvert the English language, and deny fundamental reality without paying a heavy price.

In a similar fashion to every other title I have read of his, he does an outstanding job of weighing current issues against the truths of scripture. It is well thought out, and to the point. I’m thankful for his efforts in writing this.

The way this LGBT agenda has taken over this country. This book is desperately needed!

So important

Dr. Baucham addresses an issue so many are happy to overlook. He presents the facts about the current attempts to highjack the civil rights movement by the LGBTQIA+ movement and progressive politicians. There is no hate or disdain in his writing but he stands firm on the Scriptures. The biggest disappointment was the gentleman reading the story. it was clear he was not familiar with the author or subject matter. So many mispronounced words made it difficult to make it through to the end. It would not be terrible if the publisher found another reader and reproduce the audiobook.

This is a must listen for those who hunger for righteousness. This is very informative and in alignment with God's word for exposing the unfruitful deeds of darkness.

Being gay is a sin but, it’s a cross to bear and fight everyday like other sins. Sexuality is defined, enforced by God and scientific like if one looks at the truth. Yet at NO time is being gay like being Black, not scientifically, socially, spiritually and it’s very wrong to conflate these ideas as one and the same. This is an excellent read and will help me help others who struggle with this sin of homosexuality.

Holiness is the key to changing the culture

Regardless of whether you like Voddie Baucham or not, what he writes in this book is hard to argue with. "It's Not Like Being Black" is an absolutely important listen/read because what he's writing about in this book has and is engulfing the society all around us. This isn't necessarily a fun listen/read, but it's necessary in understanding what has happened in our culture, what is going on now, and where it's going ... and the truth is it should serve as an important wake up call to any Christians who have tried to ignore this, or want to deny the facts. The great thing about all of it, though, and Baucham does a good job of wrapping up at the end, is that despite what we're seeing in the world today, there is always hope ... and it's worth fighting for to help try and craft a better world for our kids, and their kids, and their kid's kids--whether that's in the schools, in politics, or elsewhere. For as he makes clear, if one of our main responsibilities as Christians is to bring glory to God by doing what we can to help people thrive, we cannot not do the necessary work of bringing Jesus's wise and good ways to live to all levels of society we can, I'd definitely recommend this audiobook. Unfortunately, the narration is a bit subpar.

Dozens of times words that I would expect to be well-known to the target audience and author are mispronounced by the narrator. Key examples include "idolators" and "Scalia," which are mispronounced in a consistent way. I see that the narrator has several other credits, one of which I just added to my Wish List, but reluctantly as I worry it may have equally distracting flaws. His is a good voice for a book by Voddie, so I am choosing to blame the producers as such consistent mistakes in pronunciation in the recording of a fairly short book does not reflect well on the material.

Thorough coverage of the subject, please re-record

I enjoyed the content immensely but was disappointed with the performance as several words throughout the book were grossly mispronounced. Cadences were awkward.
