Publisher's summary

The exciting conclusion to the Jake's Magical Market series!

Last time we saw Jake, he was [redacted to avoid spoilers] with [redacted] in order to travel to [redacted]. He had finally learned [redacted] and [redacted]. He was just starting to [redacted]! So join him now on his new adventure as he [redacted! redacted! redacted!].

Ok, no spoilers allowed, but be prepared for a life-changing, world-spanning, time-twisting conclusion to Jake's story!

Lessons will be learned (maybe), new powers will be gained (definitely), worlds will be explored (cool), time will be tamed (is that even possible?), and adventures will be adventured (yes that's the right way to say that, don't worry about it).

You won't want to miss this one cause it's gonna be epic!

Ok!

The first book of the series was fantastic and I highly enjoyed it, recommending it to everyone. When the second book came out I was still very excited and still mostly enjoyed it. However, with this being the last book of the series, it left me not as interested in the series and not wanting to recommend it to anyone. There was too much going on in the last book, that I had a hard time keeping up and often caught myself not paying attention. I believe if the series would have continued more about the cards and less about the gods, the series would have been great. But incorporating gods, different realms of times, and so many characters, it had me disinterested.

takes psychology(but not itself) seriously.

an excellent conclusion to Jake's story that handles the complexity of both the world building and the characters' experiences extraordinarily well.

Go to a world where anything is possible!

Jake feels like a real person with real emotional issues. I could totally relate to him and at the same time was jealous that I couldn’t raid dungeons with him and his friends!

Great finish to an epic trilogy.

Made you feel like anything could happen. A pretty well developed magic system/systems. Good world building and character development. A book that shows all the good that can happen when we shove all our emotions and problems down.

Fun listen

Really enjoyed it but had difficuilty dealing with the horrendous frankenstein monster of time traveling concepts and paradoxes that were haphazardly stitched together.

A return to (and improvement on) form!

This book was everything I'd hoped for in a conclusion to this series. Book 1 had a predictable pattern to the narrative, but was sweeping in scope. Book 2 in contrast was less clunky and more surprising, but felt slow in comparison and was relatively small in scope (spatially and in overall progression). However, this book was filled with enjoyable twists, explored the whole landscape at a comfortable pace, and covered the tremendous scale desirable for lit RPGs. Mathew's writing skill has clearly grown over the series, and I could not be happier to have witnessed this story to its well-crafted conclusion. Thank you!

The best of all

This book was the best of all three books. It was less cringy and there was such cool twists and powers to tie everything together. I hope the author will right many more books in a similar genre in the future.
