The 10th book in the best-selling Sandy Bay Cozy Mystery series!

Christmas is that season...that season of pleasant surprises...delicious smells...and family and friends to share the holidays with.

This Christmas, Sandy Bay’s lovable bakery owner, Meghan Truman, gets a whole lot more than she bargained for...plus a dead body at the door of her favorite restaurant. Some people would rather sweep this murder under the carpet but something smells awfully fishy about the events surrounding it.

Will Meghan join Detective Irvin to find the murderer or will this event serve to etch unpleasant memories of this most wonderful time of the year?

Book 10 in the best-selling Sandy Bay Cozy Mystery series, which can be listened to in one to two hours! Perfect for a lunchtime listen or on a commute to/from work. T'is the season for kindness.

When Meghan's parents showed up, I was so tempted to stop listening. I cannot stand people who feel they are entitled enough to treat people like the dirt underneath their fingernails and somehow find reasons to JUSTIFY their atrocious behavior. The redeeming part about this book is Meghan. In this case, the apple fell so far out of the tree, it hopped on a plane and moved west without looking back.

I liked her boyfriend Jack. He must love Meghan enough to want to stick around after that horrible first encounter with Mr. and Mrs. Truman. I also liked how her parents recognized their bad habits and everything worked out in the end. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. Overall, a quick, enjoyable listen for all during the holidays!

Elena Marino does a fine job of narrating. I was able to keep up with the story whilst multi-tasking. A minor issue I had was at 2:45:52 to 2:45:00, the lines are repeated twice.
p.s. I did not expect it, but thank you for the sneak peek at the next book!

Great listen

Jingle Bells and Deadly Smells (Sandy Bay Cozy Mystery Book 10), my tenth read from author Amber Crewes. Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery. At 3-hours 14-minutes, longer than the previous books in the series. I really enjoy the development of the supporting characters over the course of the series. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Elena Marino who has become the voice for Meghan Truman. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

overbearing mother

I really disliked Megan’s mother, Rebecca. She is a privileged over-bearing bully. I really had to wait a few weeks to write this review. I was so upset with Megan's bullying mother I forgot to post this in audible for months.

Megan Truman is a sweet shop owner and baker. This story deals with homelessness, the stigma associated with homelessness, embezzlement and the Christmas spirit.

I liked this book other than Megan’s mother.

I was given an Audible copy of this book and am not required to leave a positive review. I enjoyed the vocal variety and inflections of the narrator, Elena Marino.

Jingle Bells and Deadly Smells

Megan is on her way to meet her friend when she is intercepted by a homeless man. She feels guilt when she has nothing to give so heads back to the bakery for her left overs. With her friend she gets coerced into helping at a charity event. At the event she meets up with a man who is very ill mannered. When a gentleman "accosts" Megan Jack, her boyfriend intercedes only to find out that it is Megan's dad. Things don't go to well and Jack gets the impression that Megan's dad, Henry, doesn't like him. As her mother tries to matchmake her with an old boyfriend, events take a turn for the worse in the small town. Now Megan is caught between trying to act as mediator between her boyfriend and her parents as well as a murder.
Elena Marino is fantastic as the narrator.
The audio is also fantastic!!
