About this listen

Ex-military man, Lynx Anders has one surefire weapon that destroys all of his pain and suffering—sex.

Lots of raw, unattached, uninhibited sex.

Sure, it doesn't cure him of all that he's seen—all that he's done in combat, but it helps—for the time being.

But when he has one night of unadulterated, mind-blowing passion with Sarah Linscum, Lynx realizes that one night is not enough—will never be enough.

Her upbeat and bubbly exterior broke through his tough-guy armor, and he wants more. Bound and determined to uncover why Sarah's eyes mirror his own in pain and despair, Lynx sets out to make them shine as bright as her.

As they both know, it takes "just one moment" to change everything.

Together, can they heal from the demons that chase them in their dreams and find a way to not only heal…but love?

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 Emotional & Smoking🔥Hot!

I loved everything about this book, from Stacey Lynn’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. Each book in this series features different lead characters, they interconnect in one way or another, so it is beneficial to enjoy the books in order, besides all the books are amazing. That said, each book stands on its own and the author includes everything you need to know in her descriptive details so you will never feel lost or as that something is missing not having read or listened to the earlier books. This fourth book is Sarah Linscum and Linx Anders’ story, the two met in the third book “Just One Regret”, Greyson Legend and Kennedy Knowles’ story. Sarah also has a connection with Nicole from “Just One Song”, and the author brings that storyline to a full circle. The tragic event that changed Nicole’s life also changed Sarah’s, as she continues to battle her inner demons and deal with PTSD. Linx struggles with his own demons and PTSD, but he is trying to his best to overcome them. The chemistry between these two is smoking hot, neither is looking for a relationship, but a hot fling turns into friends with benefits and then morphs into something else. Linx wants more, but Sarah does not believe she deserves more or has more to offer him. She needs to learn how to forgive herself and open her heart, and Lynx is the perfect man for the job. I loved how everything played out in this book, the emotions pour off the pages and into your heart and the romance is sizzling hot. It was great to catch up with the characters from earlier books and see how things worked out for them, too. Stacey Lynn, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Meghan Kelly and Neill Thorne did an amazing job with these characters, taking each role making it their own and were believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story and captured the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, making you feel every single one. These mega talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Emotional

This is a good solid story filled with emotions. I mean wow..they both have some past. Watching them learn to overcome it is inspiring. This is the fourth book in the series and my first. I guess I am backwards. The story seems to be told simultaneously as the others which is always interesting as a listener.

I did listen to this on audio. Meghan Kelly and Neill Thorne do the narrating. They both do an wonderful job.

Sarah and Lynx are quite the pair. They had a weekend in Vegas that they decide to continue when they go back to real life. However, neither is ready to commit to sleep overs or a relationship. Just physical intimacy. But as time passes, Lynx wants more. Deep down, so does Sarah, but she doesn't feel like she deserves it. Sarah has survivor's guilt and she won't let herself be loved because she feels what she did as a teenager is so horrible she doesn't deserve to be loved. It takes a long conversation with Nicole and speaking with a therapist before she finally allows herself to believe she deserves love.

Both of these characters have their issues. I respect the way that Lynx finally dealt with his issues. He took responsibility that he needed to do something and he did it. Sarah on the other hand wasn't willing to discuss it with anyone or get the help she needed in order to save a loving relationship. At times, I felt she acted like a petulant child

This is the fourth book in the series that Meghan Kelley and Neil Thorne have narrated. Again, I still feel like the female voice seems too mature for the age of the character. In addition, this series needs to go back through editing. There are long pauses at the end of chapters before the next chapter starts and there are spots in the book where outtakes were done and the original recording was not removed before inserting the outtake.

GREAT SERIES!

This was the best series I have listened to in a while! All the characters have are all done so well that you really get into the story. They also fit together in great ways you don’t want it to end!

I am in love with this interconnected series. Each book revolves around it's own couple, but the characters are all connected in some way. We met Lynx and Sarah together in book 3, and now we get their journey. Lynx is ex-military and suffers from PTSD. The one thing that quiets his demons is one night stands and he has his sight set on Sarah. She too only wants the freedom of the one night stand, as she is guarding her heart. But there is something between them that is more than physical. Stacey Lynn gives us all the emotional tugs to the heart with this one. Lynx is definitely flawed, but there is a warmth in him that he exudes. It is impossible not to feel his emotions as they all surface. Sarah is closed off, and Lynn slowly melts the ice for us as Lynx worms his way into her heart. It's a beautiful story of two people truly being soulmates. Plus we get to see our friends from the first three books, which for me is always a plus. It makes it feel like we are connected and part of the friend circle. Fabulous story!

Meghan Kelly and Neill Thorne are our storytellers and what a narration they provide! Kelly is full of the emotions that Sarah goes through. She is a master at understanding her character and pulling out the personality and feelings in her performance. Thorne is just amazing as Lynx. There is something about his voice that makes the feelings so true and believable. I loved this team and highly recommend this listen!

Love Lynx and Sarah

I loved Lynx and Sarah's story. Two tortured souls finding comfort in each other, one suffers from survivors guilt, the other PTSD. A one night stand turns into a relationship that neither one expected and as it builds, their souls begin to heal.
