hopeful / insightful

This work is entirely too rich in its essence to me to try to assess its value. I will return to it often to continue to attempt to mine the spiritual depths of it. I've already gifted it to a friend and would that I could reflect in my daily life the change it calls me to. yes. it is a gem!

Inestimable value

This book offers a fresh Christian perspective on consciousness. I senses that it won’t be for everyone because not everyone is ready to awaken as this book presents. I will certainly be re-listening to this short book frequently to remind myself of its core teaching switch shifts us from ego identification, to be much richer, spiritual consciousness. This book is grounded in presence which allows the reader to be grounded as well. Grateful for this addition to Rohr’s great catalog of writings.

A Timely Read

I have never read a book that made more of a difference! What a writer Fr. Rohr is but this is his best work yet. I’ve read 50 books on Audible and this is by far my favorite… and the reader was perfect.

Best Book Ever

Rohr’ s wisdom with directions for contemplation and practical methods for detachment are helpful for success. The narration might be a tad slow unless some caffeine is available, yet it is very clear.

I have enjoyed Rohr’s fresh thinking in his writings. This particular one has been a little difficult to grasp. I will, no doubt, need to listen at least one more time and probably more to assimilate the practice of contemplative prayer. The narrator is a little bit too slow for my taste

These bite size explorations and explanations of contemplative prayer cover the benefits and history of the practice. With anecdotes, metaphors, and a sea of references and quotes, Rohr gives the reader the background and inspiration to experiment with contemplative prayer themselves. The books offers a great launching pad for connection with self, others, and the Divine.
