Immersive and Engaging
The youngest princess of Engla leaves her homeland for the neighboring country of Scotia, the capital of which is currently experiencing an industrial revolution. In her move to leave her homeland and longing to be on her own, her plans take a drastic path.
The author, Kyle Joseph, crafts a multiple-layered narrative filled with intrigue, action, and thrilling twists. Both the characters and the story are thoughtfully developed, with meticulous world-building that seamlessly blends a medieval setting with emerging technology. The unexpected plot twists and attention to detail make for an engaging and fascinating read.
The narrators, Claire Glover and Jack Jacobs deliver a solid performance in which each accurately captures the essence of each character and slips into them effortlessly. They each provide an engaging performance that brings depth to the narrative and to each of their characters. Their subtle intonations and well-timed pauses amplify the suspense, making for a truly engaging experience. Their clear speech and precise emotional projection draw in the listener.
