About this listen

Diane Mott Davidson, author of the best selling culinary mystery series, once again successfully melds a robust murder mystery with a collection of fine gourmet recipes. In Killer Pancake, amateur sleuth Goldy faces her toughest challenge yet.

While catering a cosmetics company luncheon, Goldy witnesses the hit and run death of a rising young sales associate. Could the death have anything to do with the animal rights picket line in the parking lot...or with the exotic blue rose found next to the victim's body?

Under the spell of Barbara Rosenblat's skillful narration, listeners will feel the urge to bite their nails as they realize that, this time, Goldy's bitten off more than she can chew. Luckily, Ms. Davidson's tempting recipes for Fudge Soufflé and Killer Pancakes provide a tasty alternative.

Love the whole series!

It is light but not silly. Combines cooking with romance and murder. What more can you ask?

Mystery and Humor

Good, likable characters and a good storyline. I love the sarcastic humor that is dispersed throughout the story.

good book

the amount of time the lead character spends talking to the murderer in each of these books is astonishing. while the storyline is good, and the characters are believable, the lead character is a cross between the pink panther and Martha Stewart. how she bumbles into solving the case is beyound me. still not buying the psych degree. the narrator brought the characters to life.

Fine episode in Goldy's life of unauthorized P.I.

I love Goldy, Tom, Arch, Marla, Julian, and their home town...but there are so many unattractive personalities, just waiting to be murdered or suspected of murder! Finely plotted and always intriguing. I do feel sorry for many! And Goldy just cannot stop inserting herself into danger...Wonderfully narrated!
