About this listen

After a few months of living with her boyfriend, Greg, Jill Gardner is still getting used to sharing such close quarters, but she's got no hesitation about joining him for a weekend at South Cove's most luxurious resort. Enjoyed the book and the narrator

This was an enjoyable book just like the others in the series. I have already purchased the next two. There was only one very small problem, It was easy to figure who the murderer could be, and I kept wondering why he was not on Jill's suspect list. I hope she keeps writing this series, but no more novellas.

Very enjoyable!

I've gotten used to the narrator's clipped voice. Jill has outgrown her immature impulsiveness and Greg doesn't seem to be so controlling. The characters are starting to be more interesting.

Anxiously waiting the next installment

Lynn Cahoon has crafted a wonderful storyline with all the loved characters and new ones were introduced. It’s a continuation of the storyline from previous books in the series. If you’re a fan of this series, you’ll enjoy reading/ listening to this one.

Step into Small Town California Life

Modern day life in a small California coastal town is vibrantly described in another lovely book by Lynn Cahoon. Every book in this series takes the reader along through beautifully written scenes. It's easy to step into the lives of characters and also to follow them through to the mystery conclusion. If you have always imagined what it would be like to own a bookstore, here's your chance.

Pretty good

The narrator is all wrong for this book. She makes Aunt Jackie sound uptight and unlikable. The other voices are a dull and flat. The story itself is ok. I look forward to the next story.

Love these books

Love these cozy mystery series. They are fun easy listening without any curse words or bad behavior that isn’t really needed.

If not for the AUNT

No self respecting Californian, let alone an entire town of them, would pronounce the word "aunt" as "awwnt". It's "ant" out here.

I don't know if this is a narrator issue or what. But someone has yet to catch this "clearly these people aren't really in California" error that continues. And to top it off, Jill can never just refer to "Jackie" but "My AWWWWWWWWNT". We know who she is in relation to you.

And why hasn't "Diamond Lilly's" not been shortenedto "Lil's"? You ALWAYS know a non-native/outsider/someone that doesn't live in "this town" because they call everything by their full name. "Townies" shorten names. Even "Lilly's" would make sense by now.

Love the stories....but damn if this stuff doesn't pull me OUT of the stories.
