Swoon

Knot Really Engaged is a delightful romantic comedy that delivers on both humor and heart. This is my second book by Kendall Hale as I enjoy her engaging writing with the combined stellar narration by Jason Clarke and Stephanie Nemeth Parker, which makes this audiobook a must-listen. I devoured it in one sitting. What starts as a simple agreement to pretend to be a couple quickly spirals out of control when Liam decides to escalate their fake relationship to an engagement. Liam convinces Audrey that this charade will benefit them both.
The chemistry between the characters is palpable, with shared jokes, close touches, and fleeting glances blurring the lines between pretense and reality. As they navigate their faux engagement, both begin to question their initial intentions and what they truly want from each other. The story's blend of laugh-out-loud moments and touching scenes creates a compelling narrative about the unpredictability of love and the unexpected places it can lead us. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy

Fun, quick and light-hearted rom com

Fun, quick and light-hearted rom com. Kendall Hale writes such sweet stories and book 2 in the Happily Ever Mishaps series sticks to that format.

This book gives proposal vibes - Liam & Audrey, childhood friends & neighbors, stumble into a fake engagement to alleviate pressure from both of their families. There is great banter, meddling family members and feelings that arise over the course of a week together leading up to Audrey's parents' anniversary party.

I listened to this one on audio and no surprise, the narration by Jason Clarke & Stephanie Nemeth-Parker is fantastic. While this is dual narration, there is some text banter that has a duet style. I think the narration elevates this story.

This is a bit of a slow burn but when that spice hits, it's wonderful - and especially with the narration of Jason Clarke, you can't beat the tension & chemistry that is portrayed.

If you are looking for a quick & easy rom com, this series is one that hits all the right spots. I'm looking forward to book 3!
