Non bisogna dimenticare che i morti muoiono se qualcuno prima li identifica da vivi, qualcuno li denuncia, qualcuno li cerca, qualcuno non li protegge, qualcuno li consegna, e qualcuno li uccide. È successo anche sulla penisola italiana. Cosa hanno fatto i nostri connazionali? Che impatto hanno avuto le loro azioni? Questa storia riguarda veramente noi?
Circa novemila persone ritenute "di razza ebraica" che vivevano in Italia secondo i confini dell'epoca sono state uccise tra il 1943 e il 1945. La maggior parte fu deportata dalla penisola, più di trecento morirono nel nostro territorio. Quanti si salvarono, e chi furono i salvatori?
