Publisher's summary

For Miranda, Newark has nothing to offer except a dead-end job, a crummy apartment, and an abusive boyfriend. But when her younger sister signs her up for an online dating website to prove to her the kinds of guys who would be interested in her, she starts an online connection with the perfect guy. He's handsome, he's a real-life cowboy, and...he's in his 70s!

Miranda steps off the bus to find the man of her dreams waiting for her, only he doesn't know it. His elderly father, concerned that his six sons are isolated on their highly prosperous 800,000-acre ranch, signed up one of his oldest boys and did a little matchmaking behind their backs.

Now Miranda and Casey have a choice to make, but will they be willing to put aside their mistrust and give this a shot, or go their separate ways?

Love visiting the Carson Ranch!

Amelia Rose not only does incredible Mail Order Brides, but this first in this contemporary romance series is a winner. I love cowboys, and meeting the Carson family was a treat. Bernard, the patriarch of the Carson Family is getting up in years, and has decided his ranch needs a woman's touch. It has been years since his wife died, and has put an ad on the internet for his son on a cowboy dating website. Miranda responds after the final straw is reached with her current boyfriend. She packs up her little sister and they move to Texas. Casey, the oldest Carson, is totally blindsided by this and completely against what his father has done. He treats Miranda poorly the first couple of days, but circumstances arise and things begin to change. This story has a lot to offer, family, friends, romance, suspense(wait til you meet Miranda's ex!) and much happiness.

Valerie Gilbert always gives an amazing performance. Love her narrations and this one continues the winning streak of her books for me!

learning to love

This is a great start to this series. Miranda is running from a rough past and ends up at the Carson hill ranch. Casey is one of the sons his father wants him to get married to give him grandchildren. Casey was not happy to find out that his father had set this whole thing up. It's an interesting story how ever unfolds. Valerie Gilbert does an excellent job narrating this book. This is the first time I've heard her. She is extremely good. I received a copy of this book from audiobooks unleashed but that has no influence on my review. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you
