Another fabulous story in the Pine Valley Series!

I love the Pine Valley Series, and each new book becomes my new favorite. Heather Moore is a very talented storyteller who writes lovely, clean romance. It’s easy to become emotionally involved in her stories. I enjoyed Maurie and Grant’s story - how can you not love Grant?! I liked his son, Trent, and hated his ex-wife. Ms. Moore chooses exceptional narrators for all of her books, and Xe Sands knocks this one out of the park. Highly recommended!

Sweet romance

A charming love story. A four year old is involved. Second chance romance. Past history plays a big part. Good characters, nicely narrated. Thanks to the author for providing a copy for my voluntary review.

Seriously, one of my favorites!

There really are a good man in the world. Despite commercials and sitcoms and women who empower themselves by putting down men there really are good men out there. What a delightful story…. let’s raise our boys to be men like this!

One of my favorites in the series

I listened to this as an audiobook a year or so after reading it as an ebook. I enjoyed it every bit as much the second time!

Let's Begin Again by Heather B. Moore (4.5 stars)

A wonderfully well-written romance with characters whose lives aren’t perfect and who deal with and have dealt with trials and hardships but have come out stronger because of them.

The two main characters and all of the side characters feel like they could be people you know and I love that about this novel. No billionaires, or Regency Lords, or arranged marriages, just everyday people and their love. (Don’t get me wrong, I love all three of those genres, but this felt refreshingly normal. I suppose that why I have been enjoying the Pine Valley series so much!)

There's a lot of kissing and attraction, but there's also connection and history behind the character's, interactions so it doesn't feel like insta-love. Heather B. Moore excels at weaving her stories in such a way that we can see how the characters complement one another and we can, as readers/listeners, feel confident that the relationship will last.

Narrator: (5 stars)

Ms. Sands is among my favorite narrators! Her voice is smooth and velvety and her expressions make the characters come to life. She has to do a kid's voice in this book and I felt that she did wonderfully with it. In my opinion, kids voices are a real test of a voice actor's talents, and she made that little boy's voice sound like a little boy. Well-done, Ms. Sands!

entertaining small town second chance

A beautiful entertaining small town romance.  This entertaining well written storyline includes obstacles, hope, healing, manipulation,  misunderstandings, craziness, family, ups and downs, conflict, and struggles you seemed to really feel. I loved how challenges are overcome by working together from wonderful well developed characters, that have amazing sweet attraction and chemistry. The narration was incredibly done bringing even more light to a great story.

Swoony

I love Grant. He’s got all the things to make for a swoony book boyfriend. Maurice is sweet and turns her life around going after her happily ever after. The supporting cast makes the town fun and this is part of a series. The books do not need to be read in order because they don’t connect in that way. The narrator is FANTASTIC! She rocks the swoon perfectly. Seriously. I even tried to talk like a man for a minute to see how I did. My pathetic attempt only brought laughter. Hers brings all the feels. Great story. Talented narrator!

Heartwarming story of second chances

Upon returning to Pine Valley, Maurie is reunited with with her former secret crush Grant but seeing him brings back painful memories of her childhood. Grant, who also harbored a crush on Maurie, begins to start having feelings of guilt of a past action. Will the two be able to work through their issues to begin a new life togeo?

This is book seven in the Pine Valley series but they definitely can be read as standalones. I have read/listened to five of the books in a random order and have no problems. Writer Heather B Moore has rapidly become one of my favorite authors because of her beautifully written stories. I have been listening to narrator Xe Sands for quite awhile and she is one of my favorites.

I was given this audio book at my request and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion in this review.

Enjoyable

This was an enjoyable read and the narrator was amazing. Xe effortlessly switches between the different character voices. Her male and female voices are equally good.

At my request, I was given a free copy of this audiobook from the author. I have voluntarily left my review and my opinions were my own.

A beautiful story of coming home...

What a beautiful story! I absolutely loved the vulnerability of Mauire in shouldering a difficult past and using it to fuel the future she wanted for herself. Grant was the perfect person for her, both because of his unknown role in saving her in her youth and the tender respect and admiration he gives her in the here and now.

I really enjoyed the story. My only complaint is not being able to catch Maurie’s best friend’s name. At times, it sounded like Taffy and other times Kathy. But other than that, it was a stellar performance, and not enough of an issue to bother taking a star off.
