Publisher's summary

It is a very exciting day in the house of the Millers. Suzy’s cousin, Deliah, is visiting them.

She brought her lucky charm along so it will protect her.

Grandma Mary explains to Suzy and Deliah with the scripture what God thinks about lucky charms, and compares it with a story from the Old Testament.

In this edition of the series Life on Willow Lane, young listeners will develop an understanding of how to trust God with all their heart. This is a great book if your child is struggling to trust God with all their heart and will show them what putting yourself in God’s hands could look like. It explains what lucky charms are and how they can be no help to us. The Visit is backed up with scripture to clarify how important it is to be able to trust God with all your heart.

Life on Willow Lane: The Visit includes:

  • Lots of detailed and colorful hand-drawn artwork
  • The importance of trusting God
  • Lucky charms and their meaning
  • How Deliah asks God for forgiveness
  • A story that's easy to relate to and connect to for children
  • An interesting storyline to capture a child’s attention

The Visit is perfect for:

  • Early listeners, ages three to eight
  • Listening at home or in Sunday school
  • Encouraging age-appropriate discussions about how to forgive

In the series Life on Willow Lane, you dive into stories about what the Millers are experiencing with Jesus, how they learn to forgive others, to trust God, to be thankful for everything, and so much more…

With more than 32 books published in the series Life on Willow Lane, it is a best-selling children’s book series in Europe and now being translated into English. The goal is to win more little hearts for Jesus and let them learn how to walk with him.

A Bit Heavy for Young Children

This is a very straightforward faith lesson and this story would be very useful for if your own child may have come into experience of having belief in a lucky item or such. Though, I found it a bit heavy in context and condescending for young children, I worry if some children would feel extreme emotions if they made a similar error. I feel it is definitely more appropriate for age 6 and above, My 3 year old lost understanding quite quickly and couldn't keep up with the story within the story. Again, this would be a useful tool in correcting an error for an older child . A good listen as an audiobook in the car and a follow up conversation while driving.
