Publisher's summary

With their shelter destroyed and their sense of security shattered, Vivian, Axl and the group set off in search of a safe place. But the group's morale is at an all-time low, and they now know it's not just the dead they have to fear.

Weeks of wandering brings sickness, death and loss to the survivors, and Vivian soon finds herself losing hope of ever discovering a safe place to live. To make matters worse, two members of the group go missing, leaving the others to wonder not only what happened to them, but if they will ever see their friends alive again.

After what happened in Vegas, Hadley feels like a stranger in her own body. When she and Jon get separated from the rest of the group, she finds herself confronted not only with the scars left behind by her ordeal, but facing the possibility of a new beginning with Jon at her side.

In a twist of fate, Vivian and Axl stumble upon a place that could be the group's salvation, only to have hope slip through their fingers once again when they are met with the most devastating blow yet...

Still Loving the Series

Normally if I read a series with more than three books I can tend to get bored with the story line . Each story in this series is unique enough to keep you interested while still maintaining the characters that we love . I read most of this series as it came out and now I'm listening to it as I clean or exercise. I still love it

Vivian drives me crazy

Vivian just drives me up the wall, and seeing that she is the main character of the story. I don’t know why I love this series so much but I do.
I love Axel and Angus, I am really enjoying this whole series. No, there’s nothing new or shocking or surprising. It’s pretty much a standard zombie post apocalyptic story but it’s very engaging and easy listening and it keeps you captivated.
And yes, I will listen to all that the author writes .
Very very well done narrations.

it was okay

While I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. After a while things just seem repetitive. Also I'm not sure how i feel about the narrator for Hadley and the narrator for Vivian is kind of getting old as well as she gives every word a condescending tone with how she reads it even if it isn't supposed to be.

SPOILER*****

I'm not going to lie, the part where Angus gets bitten kind of got me, but that was about the only ounce of passion I felt from this book.
